Tonight should be very interesting with ten of the eighteen teams playing on the “main” slate heading into their third game in four nights, including the Washington Wizards who are playing their fourth game in five days on a West Coast road swing. This combined with the flu bug rolling through the League’s locker rooms could lead to a lot of last minute “changes” in starting lineups. It will be important to monitor news up until the contests tip off at 7pm ET. A good place to monitor news is the “DK Live” app, available for download in the App Store.

Point Guards

Damian Lillard – POR vs WAS – $8,600 – This is a good matchup for Lillard and the Trailblazers with Washington coming off an overtime victory last night in Sacramento and playing their fourth West Coast game in five nights. Additionally, Portland is vying with three other teams who are all within two games of each other for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Western Conference, so they are most definitely in “must win” mode.

Kemba Walker – CHA vs NOP – $8,100 – Kemba Walker “disappointed” his backers last night with just 29 DraftKings points in a “dream” matchup against the Magic. Don’t sleep on the fact that the Hornets punished Orlando all night and rolled to a 40 point victory that allowed Walker to relax from the four minute mark in the third quarter through the end of the game. This should have him relatively rested for tonight’s matchup, and he will likely be underrepresented in the large field tournaments.

Other Options – Mike Conley ($7,900)

Yogi Ferrell – DAL vs PHX – $5,200 – While J.J. Barea is back after missing a month and a half with a calf injury, he is going to be on a minutes restriction which should keep Ferrell safely in the 28-31mpg zone for the next few contests.

Other Options – Patty Mills ($4,000), Shaun Livingston ($3,200), Ian Clark ($3,000)

Shooting Guards

DeMar DeRozan – TOR at MIA – $8,400 – Tournaments only for me with Toronto on the fifth game of their road trip working their way down the Atlantic seaboard and Double D likely starting to feel a little lead legged averaging nearly 36 minutes per game in the absence of Kyle Lowry during this stretch. But, as we saw on Friday night when he launched 30 field goal attempts, the volume could be there in tournament winning fashion.

Other Options – Dion Waiters ($6,500), Devin Booker ($6,400)

Gary Harris – DEN at SAC – $5,600 – Harris gets the glorious matchup against the Sacramento Kings who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards over the last three plus seasons. While his price has crept up, it is hard to envision him getting less than 20 DraftKings points in this matchup and 30-35 is well within reach. We can also give strong consideration to rookie teammate Jamal Murray who checks in at the low price of $4,000, is eligible at both guard positions, and has been mentioned by coach Mike Malone as someone whom he wants to have playing more minutes down the stretch.

Other Options – Danny Green ($3,800), Jonathan Simmons ($3,900), Buddy Hield ($3,800)

Small Forwards

LeBron James – CLE at ORL – $11,000 – With this price tag, we simply must believe that King James is going to reach 60 DraftKings points before handing over the ransom. Fortunately that is a mark he has topped in five of his last six games and with both the Celtics and Wizards just two and a half games back in the race for the best record in the Eastern Conference, the Cavs should be motivated to get this road win.

Other Options – Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,400)

Dion Waiters – MIA vs TOR – $6,500 – Waiters last took the court on Wednesday, so he should be plenty fresh in this matchup with the road weary Toronto Raptors. That said, he is still more suited for tournament play in my opinion, but getting a player at this price point with a very real chance to eclipse the 40 fantasy point plateau is a tempting option in all formats.

T.J. Warren – PHO at DAL – $6,000 – With the Suns dealing P.J. Tucker to the Raptors, Warren has unfettered access to 30-35 minutes every game going forward. Though this is not the most stellar matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, who play at a methodically deliberate pace, Warren should have a relatively high floor.

Other Options – Danilo Gallinari ($6,000), Maurice Harkless ($5,400)

Power Forwards

DeMarcus Cousins – NOP at CHA – $10,100 – It remains to be seen how the Pellies are going to manage both Cousins and Anthony Davis – $9,900 as they continue to slip out of contention for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference. We saw Davis leave the last contest with yet another in-game injury (wrist) and though he is slated to start tonight, Boogie could still be the correct choice when filling out your lineups.

Other Options – Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,400)

James Johnson – MIA vs TOR – $5,800 – Don’t give up just yet, it looks like Johnson may have his second wind with 29+ DraftKings points in four of his last six games, and he will be welcoming one of his former teams to South Beach tonight.

Willie Cauley-Stein – SAC vs DEN – $4,900 – As we saw last night, as long as WCS can stay out of foul trouble, he is an outstanding option with his massive upside now that nearly every relevant producer that started out the season with the Kings is out of the picture.

Other Options – Al-Farouq Aminu ($5,600), David Lee ($4,300)

Nikola Jokic – DEN at SAC – $10,300 – After missing nearly a week with illness, the Joker returned to action right where he left off with his fourth straight 50+ DraftKings point performance. With DeMarcus Cousins shipped out of town, Sacramento has no answer for Jokic.

Other Options – DeMarcus Cousins ($10,200), Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,400)

Pau Gasol – SAS vs GSW – $5,100 – With teammate Kawhi Leonard ruled out tonight after suffering a concussion and the Warriors sitting their starters after a tough loss last night in Minnesota, Boom Boom Pau suddenly becomes a very sneaky play. If for any reason we suspect he may not see a full complement of minutes, then that would boost David Lee – $4,300 in this matchup with a former squad.

Other Options – Greg Monroe ($5,800), Zaza Pachulia ($3,500)
