Point Guards

John Wall – WAS at NOP – $9,800 – This is a lofty price point once again for John Wall who is in the midst of the best statistical season of his career with 23.0ppg, ranking 17th in the league, and his 10.1 assists per game behind only James Harden (11.6apg) and Russell Westbrook (10.2apg). He also has racked up 26 double doubles, which is the 11th most in the league, and we should not forget those are worth 1.5 bonus points under the DraftKings scoring system. Over their last dozen games, the Pelicans have been in the bottom third of the league against opposing point guards from a fantasy perspective, and over their last dozen games, they have allowed the third most DraftKings points to the position.

Damian Lillard – POR vs GSW – $8,300 – The Trail Blazers had a day of rest on Saturday and they get to take on the ‘Dubs who are flying up from the Bay Area after hosting last night’s tilt against the Los Angeles Clippers. While Lillard hasn’t really knocked anyone’s socks off against the Warriors this season, he did tally 69.8 and 78.0 DKPTs against them last winter, and we know that Stephen Curry is dealing with a quad bruise which may give Lillard just the edge he needs for another big performance.

Other Options – Kyle Lowry ($8,900)

Patty Mills – SAS vs DAL – $3,800 – Pay close attention to the news coming from Coach Greg Popovich. This would be a nice spot for him to give veteran Tony Parker a night off and allow Patty Mills (31.3 DKPTs in the previous two meetings this season) and University of Washington rookie Dejounte Murray – $3,500 to run the show.

Rajon Rondo – CHI vs PHI – $3,900 – Welcome aboard the Chicago Crazy Train! This is a great matchup and who the heck knows what is going to happen with the three “name players” for the Bulls.

Other Options – Cory Joseph ($3,900)

Shooting Guards

James Harden – HOU at IND – $12,800 – Yes, this is his highest price tag of the season, and he is on the road, but he is coming off a 97.8 DraftKings point performance and that is his SECOND BEST score of the season. He is leading the league in assists (11.6apg) and is second in scoring (29.1ppg) so what else can I say?

Jimmy Butler – CHI vs PHI – $8,800 – The Sixers have been pretty frisky of late winning ten of their last fourteen games, but if there was ever a time for the Bulls to make a statement it is on Sunday. Dwyane Wade – $7,000 is also worthy of consideration after being called out in the press by locker room sources saying the younger players don’t understand why he doesn’t practice more.

Other Options – Tyreke Evans ($5,400)

Seth Curry – DAL at SAS – $5,200 – This is a fair price for the other Curry who has assumed a larger role as one of the more consistently healthy options for the Mavericks. We need to see at least two or three key players ruled out (Andrew Bogut, Dirk Nowitzki, Wesley Matthews, J.J. Barea, Deron Williams and Devin Harris), but Curry is very much in play.

Other Options – Kelly Oubre Jr. ($3,500), Allen Crabbe ($3,900)

Small Forwards

Kevin Durant – GSW at POR – $10,100 – I think Durant is a nice tournament option, as he typically goes overlooked once his salary reaches five figures. He is averaging 50 DraftKings points per game and this contest has the makings of a scorefest with a projected 231 (and climbing) point total.

Other Options – Jimmy Butler (8,800), Kawhi Leonard ($8,700)

Justin Anderson – DAL at SAS – $4,100 – This position is really a mess tonight, and if we are not rolling with Kevin Durant or taking a chance on Jimmy Butler, then going with a discount dandy seems to be the way to go. Much like Seth Curry, if several key Dallas contributors are on the sidelines Sunday, Anderson should see an uptick in production at a reasonable price point where production in the mid-teens won’t submarine our lineups.

Other Options – Kelly Oubre Jr. ($3,500), Allen Crabbe ($3,900)

Power Forwards

Draymond Green – GSW at POR – $7,800 – Green has been incredibly steady in his last seven meetings with Portland posting 39+ in each outing and averaging 31.6mpg, 11.7ppg, 10.7rpg, 9.7apg and 2.7 combined blocks/steals. He also has five double doubles including one game with a triple double, which of course gets us bonus points, and has enabled Dray to average 46.2 DraftKings points during this stretch.

Other Options – Harrison Barnes ($6,500)

Serge Ibaka – ORL at TOR – $6,000WELP, Ibaka is coming off his worst fantasy performance over his last three seasons and pretty much his lowest output since he has become a starter. The game log watchers are likely going to stay away in droves, so I think we can capitalize on his underrepresentation in tournaments if we “trust the process.”

Other Options – Al-Farouq Aminu ($4,300), Dirk Nowitzki ($5,000)

Anthony Davis – NOP vs WAS – $10,000 – The risk of an in-game injury is seemingly fivefold for The Brow when compared to the rest of the league. That said, Marcin Gortat, Markieff Morris and Jason Smith just don’t seem to have a chance of shutting down Davis in this matchup.

Other Options – Draymond Green ($7,800)

Mason Plumlee – POR vs GSW – $6,200 – Plumlee has been on a heater over his last five games averaging 31.4mpg, 12.8ppg, 11.0rpg, 3.4apg and 2.4 combined blocks/steals for 37.0 DraftKings points which is 19.3% above his season average.

Nerlens Noel – PHI at CHI – $6,300 – This is a lofty price point for Noel; however, Joel Embiid is back in Philadelphia with a knee injury and Jahlil Okafor has been cleared to play, but he has been out of action since last Saturday. That leaves Nerlens Noel as the main man in the middle and he should see plenty of opportunities in this matchup.

Other Options – Clint Capela ($4,800), Dirk Nowitzki ($5,000), Lucas Nogueira ($3,900)
