Alrighty, it is the weekend before most office Holiday Parties, so we have a wonderful time of the year to finish out the last big weekend of daily fantasy college football and enjoy an 8:00pm ET start for a glorious eight game slate from The Association. DraftKings is providing us with nearly ONE MILLION dollars in guaranteed tournaments, large field 50/50s and ticket qualifier contests. What are we waiting for?!
Damian Lillard – POR at MIN – $8,900 – On the season and over the last three weeks, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in the bottom third of the league against opposing point guards from a fantasy perspective. This should be no surprise as while their guards to accumulate steals, they really don’t shut anyone down. Lillard is the key to anything that Portland hopes to accomplish and on the season he is averaging 24.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 7.1apg and 1.1spg on his way to 43.5 DraftKings points. That feels like an excellent projection to me and as we have seen, he does have fifty fantasy point upside.
Kemba Walker – CHA at CHI – $7,300 – Yes, Kemba Walker is a worse fantasy option when on the road. So are most NBA players, so that is not surprising news. Walker gave a nice stomach punch to anyone who rostered him on Wednesday against Golden State with just 10.8 DraftKings points in 31 minutes played. Making just two of sixteen shots will do that. Now that everyone is feeling a little “burned” he is a fine tournament play against Chicago who has been league average against point guards this season.
Patrick Beverley – HOU vs SAC – $4,400 – Beverley is never a comfortable option, however, when his price is depressed he can produce a solid performance ratio. The Kings are allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing facilitators this season and Beverley has a safe 5x projected floor.
C.J. McCollum – POR at MIN – $6,600 – The Timberwolves and Trail Blazers have the highest projected point total of the evening slate at 206 combined points. If Portland is going to score, the majority of their buckets will come courtesy of their backcourt. I have no issues doubling down with both Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum in all formats Saturday night.
James Harden – HOU vs SAC – $10,500 – For the third year in a row, Sac-Town is one of the worst teams in The League at defending two-guards. The Beard will be popular tonight, but this is a situation where we can hopefully get between $500-$1,000 salary cap dollars of value yield in this tasty matchup.
Jamal Crawford – LAC vs ORL – $4,900 – With Chris Paul out for the next few games, we should see increased minutes and ideally production from both Crawford and Coach Doc Rivers’ kid Austin Rivers ($3,900) both are ideal cannon fodder for rounding out your lineups on Saturday. As an added boost, J.J. Redick is doubtful.
LeBron James – CLE at MIA – $10,000 – LeBron loves a good narrative as much as daily fantasy gamers. He will be up for this game against his former team and he is at a very fair price point considering his solid floor and potential upside.
Kawhi Leonard – SA vs BOS – $8,700 – The Boston Celtics don’t have an answer for Kawhi Leonard and they are currently in the bottom third of the league against small forwards. With his outstanding production in over the last two weeks, including three 50+ DraftKings point showings in his last eight games to go with a 23.1ppg, 7.7rpg, 3.9apg, 1.1bpk and 2.1spg line, he is a tremendous option at this price point tonight.
Lance Stephenson – LAC vs ORL – $3,400 – With the Clippers backcourt shorthanded, there is a good chance that Stephenson will be in the mix for 20+ DraftKings points. A number he has surpassed in three of his last four contests.
DeMarcus Cousins – SAC at HOU – $10,800 – The Rockets have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to opposing power forwards over their last eleven games. As long as Boogie stays out of foul trouble, he should be in for a virtuoso performance.
Blake Griffin – LAC vs ORL – $9,000 – If you can’t afford Cousins, then you definitely need to get Griffin in your lineup. The Magic have no shot at cancelling The Blake Show and he should be a mainstay of your lineup in all formats, particularly since he will pick up the slack in the absence of Chris Paul.
Terrence Jones – HOU vs SAC – $5,000 – Jones was solid on Friday night in his return to the starting lineup with Dwight Howard getting a night off to rest. This game has a massive projected point total of 217.5 and there should be plenty of production to go around for Jones, even if Dwight plays tonight against the Kings.
Pau Gasol – CHI vs CHA – $7,200 – With Big Al Jefferson on the shelf for the Hornets and Nikola Mirotic recovering from a concussion, the Bulls will be turning once more to Boom Boom Pau for their front court production. Take a look at his game log and tell me you don’t think he is an absolute steal at this price point.
Nikola Vucevic – ORL at LAC – $6,800 – While it can be infuriating trying to figure out what Coach Scott Skiles is going to do on any given night, he is going to need some size on the floor to deal with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. In his last three games, Vooch has just shy of 34 mintues per game and he has had 16, 19 and 19 shot attempts in that time frame. At this price point I am thrilled to roll with him and the potential 40+ fantasy point performance.
Frank Kaminsky – CHA at CHI – $3,200 – This is an extreme punt play, however, with Al Jefferson out of action, the Hornets will need to play Kaminsky as many minutes as his fouls will allow against the Chicago BIGs. He has an excellent chance at 6-7x value at this near minimum price tag.
