This article will focus on the five games tipping off at 6:00pm ET. None of the teams in action on Sunday played yesterday, so everyone should be relatively fresh. Keep an eye on any injury news (we are approaching flu season) as it gets closer to tipoff. Let’s get to it!

Point Guards

Kyle Lowry – TOR at ORL – $8,600 – Lowry’s price continues to creep up towards the $9,000 range, but I think he is by far the safest option on Sunday. He has scored less than 38 DraftKings points just once in his last eleven games, and he has had good success in the past against the Orlando Magic.

Goran Dragic – MIA vs BOS – $7,200 – While I generally prefer taking The Dragon at home in Miami, this is a nice matchup for him against the Celtics. He should be able to run the pick and roll at will with Hassan Whiteside, and over his last three contests against Boston, he has surpassed 30 DraftKings points, including a 58 point performance in late November. While he is not flashy, he has had some very nice games, and he should actually continue to improve when more of his teammates are back to full health.

Other Options – Isaiah Thomas ($7,300)

Jeremy Lin – BKN at PHI – $5,600 – Keep an eye on Lin’s status as he should continue to see his minutes slowly move up as he recovers from his various injuries. Don’t worry about him coming off the bench, it is actually in his favor since more of his minutes will come against the Philadelphia reserves. Because of his minutes limit, he is more of a H2H play for me at his current price point. For perspective, if he were starting and going to get 30 minutes, he would be a near “must play” for me in this matchup.

Other Options – Sergio Rodriguez ($4,800), Cory Joseph ($3,900), Shelvin Mack ($4,300)

Shooting Guards

DeMar DeRozan – TOR at ORL – $8,200 – I think DeRozan is a tournament option only because his shot volume has not been as consistent as it was at the beginning of the season. However, the upside is definitely there when he gets 20+ attempts as he has in four of his last six games. The Magic lack a shutdown defender, and DeRozan has been solid in previous outings against Orlando with 37+ DraftKings points in five of the last six meetings.

Other Options – Klay Thompson ($6,700)

Sean Kilpatrick – BKN at PHI – $5,300 – Even with the return of Jeremy Lin, Kilpatrick should continue to see 28-32 minutes between both guard spots, and this is a fine matchup for his current price tag. I think he is a solid option in all formats on Sunday.

Nik Stauskas – PHI vs BKN – $3,400 – He’s not the safest pick by any means, and I think he is an extreme tournament punt only. However, utilizing the player fondly known as “Sauce Castillo” can really free up salary cap for some very interesting lineup construction strategies. Stauskas has at least 19.75 DKFP in 3 of his last 4 games.

Other Options – Joe Harris ($3,500)

Small Forwards

Kawhi Leonard – SAS vs NOP – $8,400 – Leonard has seen his production trending upwards over the last ten days, and he has topped 40 DraftKings points in each outing. On the flipside, he has topped 50 DKPTs just once since November 9th. As long as we keep in mind that he is most valuable for his tremendously steady floor, we will be just fine.

Other Options – Gordon Hayward ($7,600)

Justise Winslow – MIA vs BOS – $4,400 – Winslow has been back for two games after missing a full month with a sprained wrist, and while he has not seen his usual heavy minutes, at this price point I think he is a fantastic option as he continues to see his court time increase.

Bojan Bogdanovic – BKN at PHI – $4,700 – The Nets are a mess in this lost season, but they still can provide us with solid fantasy options. Bogdanovic is best left for tournaments in my opinion, as he does have 35+ DraftKings point upside and this should be a freewheelin’ affair.

Other Options – Rondae Hollis-Jefferson ($3,600)

Power Forwards

Anthony Davis – NOP at SAS – $10,800 – The Brow was lost to an in-game injury on Friday night, though the team said he could have returned. This is not the same Spurs defense without Tim Duncan patrolling the paint, which puts Anthony Davis very much in play as a high upside tournament option who could go overlooked.

Other Options – Joel Embiid ($7,200)

David Lee – SAS vs NOP – $3,500 – In his last three non-starts, Lee is averaging just shy of 20 minutes per game and 17 DraftKings points. There are not a lot of solid punt options today, so if you need to get creative, Lee should at least provide a relatively safe 15-20 DKPTs against the Pelicans.

Kelly Olynyk – BOS at MIA – $3,600 – In the same price range we can look to Kelly Olynyk who has 10x upside at his current price point. On the downside, a single digit fantasy point performance is also in his realistic range of outcomes.

Other Options – Patrick Patterson ($4,200)

Hassan Whiteside – MIA vs BOS – $8,300 – Whiteside is likely to be one of the most popular options on Sunday and with good reason. The Celtics are HORRIBLE against opposing big men. He has already tallied 50+ DraftKings points once against them this season, and that is in the cards again tonight.

Nikola Vucevic – ORL vs TOR – $6,200 – Vucevic was in rare form on Friday after missing a week with a back injury posting 21 points and 10 rebounds in 31 minutes off the bench against the Brooklyn Nets. He has topped 40 DraftKings points in three of his last five outings against the Raptors with a 38 DKPT average in those games on the strength of 15.8ppg, 8.8rpg, 3.8apg and 3.2 combined blocks/steals. Do not be afraid of him coming off the bench.

Other Options – Joel Embiid ($7,200), Rudy Gobert ($6,900)

Bismack Biyombo – ORL at TOR – $4,800 – Biyombo will be saying hello to a few old friends in Toronto on Sunday having spent last year with the Raptors. This is a good matchup for him, and he should be able to rebound at will against Jonas Valanciunas.

Other Options – Jonas Valanciunas ($5,100), Pau Gasol ($5,600)

I am a promoter at DraftKings and am also an avid fan and user (my username is emac) and may sometimes play on my personal account in the games that I offer advice on. Although I have expressed my personal view on the games and strategies above, they do not necessarily reflect the view(s) of DraftKings and I may also deploy different players and strategies than what I recommend above.
