Greetings Gamers! We have three slates for our gaming pleasure with the fun tipping off at 7:00pm ET with a six game player pool, an abbreviated two game “Turbo” game set at 8:00pm ET and then another two game contest at 10:30pm ET for you night owls. All told, there is half a million dollars in guaranteed cash and prizes available. This is our last big regular season NBA Saturday, so let’s make it a good one!
Russell Westbrook – OKC at SAC – $10,500 – The Thunder have said that they are not going to be resting anyone, however, they are essentially locked into their playoff seeding, so it does not make sense to see their stars get too much work, so this is a tournament play only. However, we have seen Westbrook get a triple double in less than 25 minutes before, so there is upside but also a lot of downside if the minutes are not there. The safer plays would be to target Damian Lillard – POR vs MIN – $8,600 since Portland can still improve their first round playoff matchup and Ricky Rubio – $6,700 in the same game against a Trail Blazers backcourt that is violently allergic to playing defense.
Ronnie Price – PHO at NO – $4,100 – Since Price is really the only ball handler outside of Devin Booker, he should be guaranteed at least 30 minutes of floor time tonight in what should be a spirited matchup against the equally injury decimated New Orleans Pelicans.
Tim Frazier – NO vs PHO – $5,200 – Regardless of his starting status, we have to take a long look at Frazier who is averaging 30.7 DraftKings points and 28.3 minutes per game through his thirteen appearances with the Pellies. He is an outstanding option in all formats.
C.J. McCollum – POR vs MIN – $6,900 – This is a fair price point for McCollum who has averaged 33.2 DraftKings points in the first three meetings between these two teams this season, and it is a downright steal when considering that he should have a secure 35ish minutes against the “defense” of Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins.
Jimmy Butler – CHI vs CLE – $7,300 – The Bulls need to win their last three games, and have the Pacers lose theirs in order to sneak into the final Eastern Conference playoff berth. This is a kitchen sink game and it is all hands on deck with Chicago’s season on the line.
Devin Booker – PHO at NO – $6,900 – He is taking nearly 20 shots per game, however, the vast majority are off the mark. If he gets hot, he has a 50 fantasy point game in him. While the price is creeping up, minutes and opportunity will not be an issue for Booker’s backers tonight.
James Ennis – NO vs PHO – $3,600 – If Ennis gets another start, he is a fine discount dandy who has put up 22+ DraftKings fantasy points in four of his six games with the injury ravaged Pelicans.
LeBron James – CLE at CHI – $10,000 – Cleveland needs to win just one of their last three games to clinch the Eastern Conference #1 seed. If Kevin Love or Kyrie Irving are rested tonight, LeBron is in play, though it would be a contrarian move since it will be surprising to see him get more than 27-30 minutes in any game down the stretch.
Mirza Teletovic – PHO at NO – $5,300 – This won’t be the last of the recommendations from this game, but with most of the active players on these two squads having secure minutes, we would be foolish to avoid having “too many” guys from the same game. Teletovic is averaging nearly 34 DraftKings points per game over his last four outings and he should see 30ish minutes with similar production tonight.
Al-Farouq Aminu – POR vs MIN – $5,300 – AFA has played some of the best basketball of his five year career over the last ten days with two of his highest scoring games with 28 and 27 points. Portland is on a mission to hang onto the fifth seed and avoid having to play one of the top three teams in the Western Conference playoffs in the first round. In two of his last five games, Aminu has topped 50 DraftKings fantasy points and while 25-30 is more realistic, the upside is there.
DeMarcus Cousins – SAC vs OKC – $10,300 – It sounds like this will be the final appearance for Cousins this season as the front office has said he will be shut down for the upcoming two game road trip. If he is starting, we can expect one last hurrah this season for the hometown fans.
Paul Millsap – ATL vs BOS – $8,200 – Just one game separates Atlanta, Boston, Miami and Charlotte for the 3-4-5-6 seeds in the Eastern Conference. That means home court advantage is still up for grabs and this should be a very exciting game with the top players seeing lots of minutes as long as it doesn’t end up in a rout.
Nikola Mirotic – CHI vs CLE – $5,500 – Taj Gibson has been ruled out, so Mirotic will be needed by the depleted Chicago squad who is down to their last chance to keep playoff hopes alive. Mirotic has had three 40 DraftKings fantasy point games in his last six and he has averaged 31.4 DraftKings points per game the last two times he has played the Cavs.
Pau Gasol – CHI vs CLE – $7,800 – Tonight is going to be a night to play two centers. Gasol is in fine form reaching the 40 DraftKings fantasy point plateau in six of his last seven games and he should easily reach that number tonight against Cleveland.
Karl-Anthony Towns – MIN at POR – $8,800 – The Trail Blazers are just not equipped to deal with KAT who possesses 50 DraftKings fantasy point upside in this matchup.
Al Horford – ATL vs BOS – $6,300 – As mentioned with the Paul Millsap recommendation, this is a key game for the Hawks and that means their starters should see a full complement of minutes and then some if needed to secure the victory.
Tyson Chandler – PHO at NO – $5,300 – Chandler is back in New Orleans where he spent a couple seasons teaming up with Chris Paul. Over his last five games he is averaging 38 DraftKings fantasy points per contest and he is no match for the Pelicans frontcourt.
Alexis Ajinca – NO vs PHO – $4,400 – Ajinca went for a career high 28 points and 15 rebounds last night against the Lakers on his way to 56.3 DraftKings fantasy points. If he has anything left in the tank, this is an excellent matchup for him and he should be in the 7x value range on his reasonable price tag.
