The NBA Game Breakdown takes an in-depth look at all of the games on the schedule each day in terms of expected pace of play, Vegas lines, and defense vs. position match ups.

Big Events

The Early slate has only two games tomorrow but the crown jewel of tournaments for that slate is the $30K Crossover. Take your chance to turn $20 into $5000 with a field of only 1705. We also have FBWC and January Jam Q’s running all day long to help you get some shots at the big money being offered on Draft Kings.

Heat @ Bulls

Game Analysis

The Bulls have hit the under in three straight averaging totals of 196. The Heat have been under in every one of the last 10 contests and play at such a slow pace that only two opponents and them once have reached 100 over those contests. This will be a low scoring game and you can not really fade it completely on only a two game slate. I would pick and choose my favorite plays here but go heavier in the other game tomorrow. With neither team expected to reach 100, I would look for guys who are not completely reliant on points and assists for their fantasy scoring.

Line: Bulls -9, O/U 186

Players to Watch

  • Loul Deng, SF, Heat ($5900)
  • Chris Andersen, C, Heat (#3500)
  • Jimmy Butler, SG, Bulls ($8000)
  • Taj Gibson, PF, Bulls ($6200)

Thunder @ Cavs

Game Analysis

Well on a two game slate with the totals being so widely spread apart I would think you have to look towards this game for fantasy purposes. OKC has won 4 of 5 and Cleveland is riding a five game winning streak. 7 of those 10 contest between them have played to the over with totals routinely around the 210 mark. DvP favors Westbroook most of all here. He is the one Stud I will definitely be paying up for. I’d love to fit in a second whether that be Lebron or KD and then roster a Love or Kyrie as well. In order to do so I will also be looking for value guys in this game. Steven Adams, Mozgov, and maybe even a JR Smith are guys you will need to give a long look to while finishing off rosters. You can go cheap in a 186 point game or a 211 expected total tomorrow and I think the way to look is towards this one for your cash games. If you want to swerve then go heavy on the first game for GPPs but the odds will not be in your favor.

Line: Cavs -3, O/U 211.5
