Cavaliers @ Knicks

Game Analysis

So this one is expected to be a bloodbath. High priced stars on a short slate in a game with huge blowout potential sounds like a stay away, but in order for it to be a blowout someone is going to have to have a big couple quarters. If this was a twelve game slate I would agree 100% and while I would not advise using a lot of players from this game I think you could see at least one of the high priced Cavs and some of the value Knicks make good starts.

Line: Cavs -15, O/U 197

Players to Watch

  • Kyrie Irving, PG, Cavs ($8000)
  • Lebron James, SF, Cavs ($10200)
  • Jose Calderon, PG, Knicks ($4200)
  • Langston Galloway, PG, Knicks ($5200)

Hawks @ Bucks

Game Analysis

As a Betting man I would be running hand over fist to get some money on the Hawks today. Fresh off an embarassing lose to the Raptors the other night and playing a team who just traded their PG and are still not sure if his replacement is going to be ready to play. The Bucks did manage to hold off a Lawson less Nuggets team last out, but honestly it was not a great effort and they struggled to score. No one knows how MCW will fit into this team or who the leader will be with Knight shipped off. They have been winning and playing well at home, but there’s a lot of questions surrounding this game that need to be answered. I like the Hawks to win it, but Vegas thinks it stays close, so both sides are in play. I don’t see the Hawks defense getting torched again, so I expect a better showing from them.

Line: Hawks -4, O/U 197

Players to Watch

  • Al Horford, C, Hawks ($7500)
  • Demarre Carroll, SF, Hawks ($5300)
  • Jerryd Bayless, PG, Bucks ($4400)
  • Zaza Pachulia, C, Bucks ($3500)

Wizards @ Pistons

Game Analysis

Detroit just knocked off a tough Chicago team and the Wizards looked bad getting waxed by the Cavs. This is too early to call it a trend, but the Wizards look tired on defense and challenged on offense. They need to right the ship and fast before they lose too much ground in the East. They have been solid defensively all year and especially against the bigs. Wall’s defense has taken a hit recently and we can only assume his lingering injuries play a role in that. Either way it sets up well for Jackson who is slated to make his debut. It’s a later start so check the news and make adjustments if you have to. The other guy who is still in play is Greg Monroe who has looked like a beast lately. They should lead the charge for the Pistons upset attempt. On the other side Nene and Wall have been carrying this team. With Beal sidelined and Pierce taking it easy we have also seen some value from their wings if you need it. This is a 3 game slate so everyone is playable, but this is the lowest total although it does have the closest spread.

Line: Wizards -1, O/U 195

Players to Watch

  • Reggie Jackson, PG, Detroit ($3500)
  • John Wall, PG, Wizards ($8600)
  • Nen49e Hilario, PF, Wizards ($00)
  • Greg Monroe, PF, Pistons ($7900)
