First off, Happy Veteran’s Day and thank you to all the Veteran’s out there. Well, last night was interesting. With two of the big names getting injured mid-game and a couple of late scratches it made for a pre-lock scramble. With a nice slate tonight it is time to hop back into the game.

The Vegas Lines

Highest Scoring Games

Clippers vs. Mavericks – Welcome back to Dallas Deandre. This one is going to be hostile and high scoring. With an o/u of 213.5, this one will be full of fireworks. It’s also interesting that the Clips are only a 7 point favorite. We know who will score for the Clippers, but it will be a crapshoot to establish the Mavs top scorers.

Pelicans vs. Hawks – The Pelican’s may come into tonight minus the Brow, but the lines still point to a shootout. With an o/u of 212, this is the 2nd highest scoring game of the night. The Hawks bigs make for an intriguing play, and Jeff Teague is coming off of one of his biggest scoring nights this season. As for the Pelican’s if the Brow sits, fire Anderson.

Lowest Scoring Games

Raptors vs. 76ers – I think this game may be a little higher scoring than the line says at 193.5, but I love playing teams against the 76ers. Make sure to check the injury report before this one, because Nerlens Noel may make for a great play.

Knicks vs. Hornets – Linsanity put up his highest point total this season with 19 coming off of the bench. Tonight he gets to face the team that sparked his career. I also feel like this one may be a little higher scoring than 197.5, it will also provide some great value tonight.

Pace of Play

Fastest Projected Games

Pistons vs. Kings – Coach Karl’s guys had a players only (well coaches attended to) meeting to figure out the mess that is Sacramento. In DFS, we don’t care about records so 1-7 really doesn’t matter to us. What does matter is that the Kings are playing at a blazing pace and are currently 2nd in the pace of play ratings. With Boogie back and Rondo playing like he is 22, this one should be full of action.

Pelicans vs. Hawks- Both of these teams are ranked in the top 15 of the Hollinger pace ratings. In all honesty I like this one even more if the Brow sits, because it will become guard heavy. The Pelican’s may decide to go small with a combination of Jrue, Ish, and Tony.

Slowest Projected Games

Bucks vs. Nuggets- Jason Kidd has surprisingly become a good coach in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, he likes to play with minutes and keep the pace of his team down. The Nuggets usually like to move fast, but the corp of guards for the Bucks will try to keep this one moving slow.

Knicks vs. Hornets – As a loyal Hornets fan, I really wish that Steve Clifford would play to our strengths and not try to make us the Spurs of the East (we aren’t…trust me). No matter how much I desire, we won’t speed up and because of this the Hornets are destined to remain in the lower tier of the pace ratings. New York isn’t much better with a bottom 15 pace rating.

Defense vs. Position

Best PG Matchups

Jeff Teague vs. The Pelican’s Guard Committee –The Pelicans are ranked last against opposing guards. Teague had a breakout game during his last outing and will be looking to replicate it tonight.

Worst PG Matchups

Rajon Rondo vs. Reggie Jackson – Jackson is a great defender and ranks 5th against opposing PGs. Rondo has had a great season, but with DMC back his usage will go down.

Best SG Matchups

Khris Middleton vs. Will Barton – Middleton has been up and down this year, but he will get a positive matchup tonight. Look for Middleton and the Greek Freak to take advantage of Denver tonight.

Worst SG Matchups

DeMar DeRozan vs. Nik Stauskas- Sauce has been very good this year and will get a tough matchup against DeRozan tonight. The 76ers are ranked 3rd against opposing SGs.

Best SF Matchups

Joe Johnson vs. Trevor Ariza – Johnson is also trying to get back to his younger days as he has had two good fantasy games. Ariza has been terrible against opposing SFs. Johnson has a great opportunity to reach value tonight.

Worst SF Matchups

Kawhi Leonard vs. Al-Farouq Aminu – I know that this looks crazy, but Aminu has been shut down this year. Kawhi will get his points, but I just have a feeling he doesn’t go crazy tonight.

Best PF Matchups

Blake Griffin vs. Dirk Nowitzki- Blake versus Dirk, no contest. I will be running Blake.

Worst PF Matchups

Meyers Leonard vs. LaMarcus Aldridge- LMA hasn’t produced the fantasy points that he did with Portland, but he will be wanting to show out tonight. Look for him to shut his old team down.

Best C Matchups

Dewayne Dedmon vs. The Lakers – This is all dependent on if Vuc plays or not, but the Lakers are terrible against bigs. Fire Dedmon for value if Vuc sits.

Worst C Matchups

DeMarcus Cousins vs. Andre Drummond – Woooo, I can’t wait for this matchup tonight. Cousins is looking to get his Kings going and Drummond is one of the best defending Cs in the league. I can’t wait for this one.

Lineup Quick Hits

Superstar Worth Paying For

James Harden ($10,100) – The beard had a slow start to the season, but that is behind him. In the past two games he has posted a 70 fantasy point game and a 50 fantasy point game. He gets a great matchup tonight against a Brooklyn team that won’t have an answer for him. He will be looking to match his last couple of totals and will have a great shot tonight.

Save Big Bucks By Drafting

Cory Joseph ($3,300) – Joseph has developed a nice role in Toronto. Last night he went off and for 33 fantasy points. He should see more of the same role tonight and has the potential to reach value again.

Dud of the Night

Anthony Davis ($10,700) – The Brow is usually one of the best plays of the night. Unfortunately, he is questionable tonight and this worries me. If he plays he may not get the minutes, if he doesn’t play Ryan Anderson gets the start and should make for a great spot play.
