Game Flow Notes

Vegas Lines

HIGH O/UTimberwolves vs. Thunder – The total in this game is 208.5 and one of the highest of the night so far. This game will be the Durant and KD show and should provide us with a lot of highlights. Even though I love the total, I like other plays.

LOW O/UHeat vs. Nuggets- The Heat are playing post ball at the moment. The total in this game is 193. I love D Wade and Bosh in this one as they will be tasked to do more on offense. For the Nuggets Danilo has been great and should be in play tonight.

Pace of Play

NBA Cheat Sheet 1.15 Pace

HIGH PACESuns vs. Celtics- The Suns and the Celtics have been playing blazing fast lately. The projected game pace in this one is 102.10. I love the guards on both sides of the ball and I especially love the IT2 narrative of facing his former team.

LOW PACECavaliers vs. Rockets – Iso-Ball anyone. With a game pace of 98.95 this one will be a lot of Harden and LBJ. I look for both guys to dominate and hit value tonight.

Defense vs. Position

NBA Cheat Sheet 1.15 DvP

Point Guard Matchups

TARGET Isaiah Thomas vs. Brandon Knight- IT2 has been en fuego lately, with some monster 50+ DK games. He cooled off a little during the last game, but he still hit value. He has a great matchup tonight against the Suns who are in tank mode. To add insult to the injuries Knight and the Suns are ranked 29th against opposing PGs.

AVOID George Hill vs. John Wall – I have only used Hill once this season when he played the Pelicans. Tonight he gets a terrible matchup against the Wizards, who are 6th against opposing PGs. He should come in right around value based on usage, but shouldn’t win you a GPP.

Shooting Guard Matchups

TARGETKhris Middleton vs. Kyle Korver- Middleton has been great lately and is finally taking his leadership role serious. He has posted great value numbers and the matchup with the Hawks isn’t terrible. The Hawks are a ticking time bomb and unfortunately are not looking like a team that can repeat last years success. Middleton should make it to 35+ DK points today.

AVOIDWill Barton vs. Dwayne Wade With Goran Dragic sidelined, Wade will be asked to do a lot more for the Heat. Barton found his stroke again last game and posted 32 DK points. Danillo is back which limits Barton’s usage. Barton also will deal with a motivated D Wade tonight and should be limited to slightly under value.

Small Forward Matchups

TARGETPaul George vs. Otto Porter – Porter is questionable, but the Wiz are still ranked 29th against opposings SFs. George has seen his price drop, but do to matchup and usage he has the ability to exceed tonight. We definitely could be looking at a 50 burger.

AVOIDJoe Johnson vs. Al Farouq-Aminu The Nets are facing dire straights and unfortunately I don’t see a solution in sight. Aminu and the Trailblazers lock down opposing SFs. Joe is technically not even a SF, but is forced in the position due to injuries. All things considered there are just better options tonight.

Power Forward Matchups

TARGETAnthony Davis vs. Marvin Williams – I will put the disclaimer out here. Davis can get hurt by just walking on to the court. Davis can get hurt by breathing. Davis can get hurt by being interviewed before the game. The matchup, usage, and projections are all there for a monster night.

AVOID Kenneth Faried vs. Chris Bosh – The Manimal will have a tough go tonight against the strong defense of Chris Bosh. Bosh will also be tasked with more offensive responsibilities due to Goran Dragic being out. Faried is fresh off of injury and only posted 15 DK points last week.

Center Matchups

TARGETCody Zeller vs. Pelicans Little League Center Zeller has played more 5 with Al Jefferson out for 6 weeks. He honestly gets the best matchup of the night against a Pelicans team that has no ability to guard a Center.

AVOIDKarl Anthony-Towns vs. Steven Adams – The Thunder have consistently locked down Cs this season. Right now they are ranked 2nd against opposing Cs. The rookie will take a backseat to Westbrook and Durant tonight.

Lineup Quick Hits

Superstar Worth Paying For

LeBron James (9,900) – LBJ had a rough outing last night and only put up 34 DK points. He has a great match up tonight and his price isn’t bad at all. I look for him to turn it around tonight and put up around 50 DK points.

Save Big Bucks by Drafting

Beno Udrih (3,300) – Beno should get about 25 minutes tonight. He will usage will be up and he will get more opportunities off of the ball. I have him projected at about 18 DK points.

Dud of the Night

Bradley Beal (6,700) – Beal has finally come back from injury, but he has had a limited compliment of minutes due to the extent of the injury. I still think they monitor minutes tonight and this worries me about his fantasy worth.

This is not a comprehensive list. Be sure to check for injury updates throughout the day
