Game Flow Notes
HIGH O/U – Clippers vs. Kings – I love this game tonight and I am basically all in on two players. With a total of 219.5 this is the highest total on the night. Chris Paul will have the opportunity to score an endless amount of DK points due to usage and matchup. DeAndre Jordan should get an infinite amount of Rebounds and DeMarcus Cousins is the highest projected play of the night. I love this game!
LOW O/U – Hornets vs. Pacers- It is sad to see my favorite team as the lowest scoring of the evening. With a total of 203.5 this game is the lowest on the night. The Hornets will look to Batum and Kemba for their scoring. On the Pacers side of the ball Paul George should run rampant with Ian Mahinmi coming in as a sneaky value play.
Pace of Play
|Away Team||Away Pace||Home Team||Home Pace||Avg Pace|
HIGH PACE – Wizards vs. 76ers – This game is actually the 2nd fastest of the night, but it is still an extremely fast paced game. With a projected game pace of 102.3 this one should be all about the Wall. The 76ers are a terrible team, which makes Wall and Gortat great plays tonight. For the 76ers, pick your poison as Ish Smith and Nerlens Noel have positive matchups.
LOW PACE – Cavaliers vs. Raptors – The Cavs and Raptors have both been slow all season. It all boils down to their style of play (even though Ty Lue has tried to up the pace in Cleveland.) With a projected game pace of 92.9 this will be isoball at its best. The Big 3 for Cleveland all have a chance to hit value. For the Raps it will be Kyle Lowry and Demar Derozan carrying the load.
Defense vs. Position
Point Guard Matchups
TARGET – Mike Conley vs. D’Angelo Russell – This one is pretty easy, last game Conley put up 43 DK points. He faces the same team again tonight with the same scenario, I am rolling him out.
AVOID – Emmanuel Mudiay vs. Deron Williams – The Mavs are 11th against opposing PGs. Mudiay hasn’t had a great season, but is getting opportunity in Denver. I think he will come in at about 20 DK points tonight.
Shooting Guard Matchups
TARGET – DeMar DeRozan vs. JR Smith – DeRozan is projected as the highest scoring SG on the night. The Cavs have gotten better defending the SG position, but with Iman out the defense has been less than stellar.
AVOID – Will Barton vs. Wesley Matthews – The Iron Man isn’t in Portland anymore, but his defense is still great. The Mavs are ranked 8th against opposing SGs. I have Barton coming in at about 25 DK points tonight. I like Reddick at a cheaper price.
Small Forward Matchups
TARGET – Paul George vs. Nicolas Batum – The Hornets have struggled against SFs all year. They are ranked 22nd against opposing SFs. George should have his way tonight and could put up monster points.
AVOID – James Johnson vs. LeBron James- LBJ is ranked 7th against opposing SFs. Johnson is by no means elite. This is just a case of not being good enough.
Power Forward Matchups
TARGET – DeMarcus Cousins vs. Clippers PF – This one is simple, play Boogie!
AVOID – Luis Scola vs. Kevin Love – Love is a great defender and he is presently ranked 2nd against opposing PFs. Scola is a role player for the Raptors, but isn’t somebody to lean on. I think he gets 15 DK points tonight.
TARGET – DeAndre Jordan vs. Willie Cauley-Stein – DeAndre’s usage has been extremely high. The Kings are ranked 25th against opposing Cs and DJ should ham it up.
AVOID – Robin Lopez vs. Nikola Vucevic – The Magic are ranked 8th against opposing Cs. Lopez hasn’t been bad lately, but I have him projected as the lowest scoring elite C tonight. I am thinking 27 DK points tonight.
Lineup Quick Hits
Superstar Worth Paying For
DeMarcus Cousins ($10,600) – Boogie down tonight, if you are looking for 50 DK points this is your best chance to get it.
Save Big Bucks by Drafting
Brandan Wright ($3,700) – Wright inserted himself nicely against a terrible Lakers team last game. He gets the same matchup tonight and should produce the same outcome.
Dud of the Night
Victor Oladipo ($7,000) – Oladippindots has a bruised thigh. He came in under value last night and gets an Affalo revenge game tonight.
C.J. Miles – Out, Gary Neal – Out, –
