The NBA’s schedule for this Monday is a little bit lighter than usual with six games lined up to get the work week started. With only a dozen teams in action, you’ll need to make every dollar count in your lineup especially if you plan on going in on one of the big stars like LeBron James, Russell Westbrook or Kawhi Leonard. If you want to fit monster salaries in, you may find yourself in need of a trip to the bargain bin to round out your roster. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, you can find my top plays under $4K here. Let’s take a look at tonight’s limited slate:

Manu Ginobili – SG – SA vs. CLE – ($3,600) – The first option to check out tonight is veteran Manu Ginobili who has been a reliable contributor while coming off the bench for the Spurs. He has sat out a few games for rest, but when he has been active he has posted solid stats.

Manu has produced at least 17 DKFP in eight of his last nine games and he has multiple steals in each of his last three. He gets a good matchup against the Cavs tonight who have allowed the third-most DKFP to opposing SGs this season. In a game where the Spurs may look to make a statement, Ginobili should get good enough minutes and usage to make him a solid “turn back the clock” option from the bargain bin.

Georgios Papagiannis – C – SAC vs. MEM – ($3,700) –  An international import on the other end of his NBA career, Papagiannis continues to get good playing time for the Kings as they evaluate how the 19-year old Greek fits into their future plans. Papagiannis has averaged 23 minutes a game over his last five contests while contributing 8.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 assists. He had 27 DKFP yesterday against the Clippers and has at least 22 DKFP in three of his last five.

Papagiannis got a little extra playing time yesterday while Kosta Koufos rested, but even if Koufos is back tonight, Papagiannis should still be set up for 20+ minutes tonight against the Grizzlies. He has a higher ceiling than Manu, but he’s obviously a much less proven player.

Tim Frazier – PG – NO @ UTA – ($3,400) – At the very beginning of this season, the Pelicans were starting Frazier in place of Jrue Holiday who was away from the team caring for his ill wife. As they come to the end of their season, they’ve gone back to Frazier in the starting lineup next to Holiday. Frazier will look to finish strong and solidify his spot in the rotation next season.

Frazier went just 1-8 in his first three starts during this stint in the lineup, but he snapped out of that slump with a big performance last night in Denver. He went 4-8 on his way to 11 points and 27.5 DKFP. Frazier has at least 19 DKFP in three of his last five based on his good non-scoring stats, and he’ll look to continue the momentum tonight as the Pelicans take on the Jazz.

Yogi Ferrell – PG – DAL vs. OKC – ($3,900) – Ferrell isn’t starting for the Mavericks who have gone with Seth Curry at PG for their last few games. Even though the Mavs have J.J. Barea coming off the bench with Ferrell, both guards have been able to be productive lately. Ferrell has again become a cheap flier with upside like he was before a mid-season surge that saw his price climb to over $5K.

Ferrell has found success in his new role off the bench and has posted at least 23 DKFP in three of his last four games. His playing time isn’t as secure as Frazier’s, but Frazier is not as much of a scoring option in his time on the floor. I think both are solid options from the bargain bin, it just depends on your personal preference whether you want more minutes and non-scoring stats (Frazier) or a more aggressive and active role in the offense in fewer minutes (Ferrell).
