EuroLeague Basketball On DraftKings: Five Players to Watch

WATCH: EUROLEAGUE PLAYERS TO WATCH

It’s time for a new sport on DraftKings! Welcome to EuroLeague hoops!

EuroLeague contests will start Tuesday, Nov. 14, so here are some of the top names to know in the second-most talented basketball league in the world:

NAMES TO KNOW

Thomas Robinson, Khimki Moscow Region — A former top-five NBA draft pick by the Sacramento Kings out of Kansas, Robinson once had a lot of promise as an NBA prospect. After multiple stops across the league, he worked out with the Boston Celtics just a couple of months ago and almost won their last roster spot. Robinson is an elite rebounder.

Norris Cole, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv — You should remember Cole as a role player on two of the Miami Heat championship squads while LeBron James was in South Beach. A solid scorer, distributor and ball-handler, Cole is one of the premier guards in this overseas league.

Andrew Goudelock, AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan — Goudelock wasn’t a big name in the NBA, but played a couple years with the Los Angeles Lakers, where Kobe Bryant referred to him as the “Mini Mamba.” The bottom line is that this dude can flat out score at an elite level, evident by his EuroLeague single-game record of 10 3-pointers. With a EuroCup MVP under his belt, this is a very established player.

Errick McCollum, Anadolu Efes Istanbul — The older brother of Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum, Errick has been playing in leagues around the world for a while now. This is another elite scorer in the league, as he too has a EuroCup MVP award and dropped 82 points in a game in the Chinese Basketball Association.

Luka Doncic, Real Madrid — You’ve probably heard the name, as Doncic is a sure-fire top-five pick in the upcoming NBA draft and could even be the first name called off the board. Doncic is already probably the best player in all of the EuroLeague. An exceptional ball-handler who is also 6-foot-7, he’ll be something special in the NBA as well.

HONORABLE MENTION

Anthony Randolph, Real Madrid — A former first-round pick with six years of NBA experience. Super athletic big.

Dorell Wright, Brose Bamberg — Wright came straight out of high school and played 12 NBA seasons, so yeah, obviously he can play.

Kevin Seraphin, FC Barcelona Lassa — Another first-round pick that played seven NBA seasons.

Sergio Rodriguez, CSKA Moscow — Rodriguez was a Euro star before his time in the NBA, but has since returned to the EuroLeague to dominate.

Rudy Fernandez, Real Madrid — A first-round pick that showed a lot of promise in the NBA but decided a return home was better for him. An elite force in the league.
