We’ve got a 10-game slate here on Monday evening with some pretty interesting matchups to examine. There’s local inter-league play in the DMV, some inexperienced pitchers face some historic franchises, a bVp nightmare for Ricky Nolasco, oh … and the World Series Champs are at Coors Field. Let’s dive into my top-5 stacks!

1. New York Yankees

The Yankees and Cubs played 18 innings last night at Wrigley, and both happen to be in my top stacks tonight, so just pay attention to either of them putting a funky lineup out there today. That said, this is baseball and you simply have to be ready to play every day. The Yanks are the best team in MLB, loaded with LHB, and will square off with RHP Rook Davis in a hitter-friendly ballpark. Davis has a 7.36 ERA and allows a .486 on-base percentage to LHB.

Players to Consider

  • Aaron Judge ($4,600)
  • Jacoby Ellsbury ($4,000)
  • Brett Gardner ($4,200)
  • Chase Headley ($3,700)
  • Didi Gregorius ($3,800)
  • Starlin Castro ($3,800)

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers are in a similar situation to the Yankees, but there are some differences. They’re hosting the Pirates, who will be using a relief pitcher in this one — Trevor Williams. The RHP has a career ERA of 6.66 over 24.1 innings. The Dodgers have a LHB heavy lineup that tends to crush inexperienced RHP.

Players to Consider

  • Cody Bellinger ($3,600)
  • Corey Seager ($4,400)
  • Yasmani Grandal ($3,400)
  • Joc Pederson ($3,700)
  • Andrew Toles ($3,000)
  • Justin Turner ($3,600)

3. Washington Nationals

The Nats are traveling just down the Beltway to Baltimore tonight, where they’ll face RHP Kevin Gausman. Gausman’s been terrible this season, posting a 7.55 ERA and allowing an on-base percentage of nearly .400 to both LHB and RHB. RHB have taken him deep five times compared to just once for LHB, but this looks like a nice spot for Harper and Murphy with the wind blowing out to right field.

Players to Consider

  • Bryce Harper ($5,400)
  • Daniel Murphy ($4,900)
  • Ryan Zimmerman ($4,700)
  • Jayson Werth ($4,100)
  • Trea Turner ($5,200)
  • Matt Wieters ($3,600)

4. Oakland Athletics

This is just one of those matchups that hasn’t worked in RHP Ricky Nolasco’s favor in the past. Six A’s that project to be in tonight’s lineup have faced Nolasco 10 or more times, each of them hitting at least .286 and combining for six homers. Those six guys are listed below for you, and as always, the A’s are as affordable as it gets.

Players to Consider

  • Matt Joyce ($2,400)
  • Khris Davis ($3,800)
  • Yonder Alonso ($2,800)
  • Ryon Healy ($3,300)
  • Stephen Vogt ($3,100)
  • Jed Lowrie ($2,700)

5. Coors Field

Be careful of the weather here and the Cubs traveling after being up all night. But the defending champs are projected for nearly six runs in this one against RHP Antonio Senzatela, while the home team is projected for 5.3 runs against RHP Jake Arrieta. The Cubs could be the most popular stack of the night for those that can afford them, but Senzatela’s been very good this season … actually better than Arrieta. For that reason, I prefer what I think will be the lower owned Rockies, but both stacks have to be mentioned.

Players to Consider

  • Carlos Gonzalez ($4,500)
  • Ian Desmond ($5,000)
  • Nolan Arenado ($5,300)
  • DJ LeMahieu ($4,400)
  • Charlie Blackmon $5,200)
  • Trevor Story ($4,600)
  • Kyle Schwarber ($4,900)
  • Anthony Rizzo ($5,600)
  • Ben Zobrist ($4,800)
  • Kris Bryant ($5,500)
  • Addison Russell ($4,500)
  • Jason Heyward ($4,500)
