WATCH: STACK TO CONSIDER BOSTON RED SOX

With some afternoon action today, we’ve got just a nine-game slate tonight. You may notice a heavy dose of the AL East in my top-five teams to stack up. Hit me up on Twitter with comments or questions: @julianedlow.

1. BOSTON RED SOX

After an unexpected high-scoring game last night, Boston is projected for 5.3 runs against the White Sox tonight. RHP Mike Pelfrey, who’s allowed 20 runs in 34 innings this season, will be on the mound for Chicago. The BoSox are swinging some hot bats, and have a pretty good track record against Pelfrey. Stacking from both sides of the plate makes sense, as Pelfrey tends to get hit pretty evenly.

Players to Consider

  • Mookie Betts ($4,900)
  • Andrew Benintendi ($4,000)
  • Xander Bogaerts ($4,600)
  • Hanley Ramirez ($4,300)
  • Mitch Moreland ($3,800)
  • Jackie Bradley Jr. ($4,100)

2. NEW YORK YANKEES

The Yanks are in Baltimore going up against RHP Kevin Gausman and his 6.17 ERA. A little bit of rain is in the forecast, but it’s unlikely to stop this one from being played. Other than that it’s near ideal conditions for the Yankees, facing a struggling pitching in a hitter’s ballpark. This team’s had success against Gausman in the past, including two bombs from Aaron Judge in just eight plate appearances, and a .324 average with a dinger from the scorching hot Brett Gardner.

Players to Consider

  • Brett Gardner ($4,600)
  • Aaron Judge ($5,400)
  • Starlin Castro ($3,900)
  • Matt Holiday ($4,200)
  • Gary Sanchez ($4,500)
  • Didi Gregorius Q ($3,800)

3. BALTIMORE ORIOLES

On the other side of what should be a game with plenty of runs, the O’s will tee off against RHP Masahiro Tanaka. Tanaka’s 5.86 ERA goes up more than a half run on the road this season, and Baltimore already had a solid showing against him this season — scoring three runs in five innings. Although they don’t hit great for average against him, five O’s have homered off Tanaka in the past.

Players to Consider

  • Chris Davis ($3,500)
  • Manny Machado ($4,000)
  • Mark Trumbo ($3,700)
  • Jonathan Schoop ($3,900)
  • J.J. Hardy ($3,100)
  • Seth Smith ($3,100)

4. TAMPA BAY RAYS

The Rays have been doing work in Texas, where they’re one again projected for more than five runs. This time they’ll be facing RHP Austin Bibens-Dirkx, a relief pitcher with 11 innings under his belt in four appearances. Who knows how he’ll handle his first career start, but LHB have two homers off him already, and the Rays will be stacking their lineup with them.

Players to Consider

  • Corey Dickerson ($5,300)
  • Colby Rasmus ($4,000)
  • Kevin Kiermaier ($4,300)
  • Logan Morrison ($4,700)
  • Evan Longoria ($5,100)
  • Steven Souza ($5,000)

5. WASHINGTON NATIONALS

The Nats will face RHP Matt Cain in San Fran, where they’re projected for just 4.4 runs. These hitters have hit Cain well before, though, and obviously, they stand a better chance if Bryce Harper is in the lineup — be sure to check on the status of his suspension. Harper, Murphy, Werth and Zimmerman have all homered off Cain.

Players to Consider

  • Bryce Harper Q ($5,500)
  • Daniel Murphy ($4,300)
  • Ryan Zimmerman ($4,500)
  • Jayson Werth ($3,300)
  • Trea Turner ($4,400)
  • Matt Wieters ($3,000)
