WATCH: STACK TO CONSIDER NEW YORK METS

It’s a full 15-game slate tonight with a lot of great stacking options. Way more than five stand out to me, so this list is truly the cream of the crop. Hit me up on Twitter with comments or questions: @julianedlow.

1. BALTIMORE ORIOLES

The O’s are at home with Kevin Gausman on the mound, so they know they’re likely going to have to put up a bunch of runs to get a win. Fortunately, they’ll be facing RHP Ivan Nova, who despite a 2.92 ERA this season, has been a mess against Baltimore in his career. Current members of the O’s have smashed 11 total home runs off Nova, including three apiece from Chris Davis and Mark Trumbo. With so many fantastic stacking options tonight, I think Baltimore will fly under the radar.

Players to Consider

  • Mark Trumbo ($4,600)
  • Chris Davis ($4,400)
  • Manny Machado ($4,600)
  • Adam Jones ($4,400)
  • J.J. Hardy ($2,500)
  • Jonathan Schoop ($4,300)

2. HOUSTON ASTROS

The Astros remain in Kansas City, where they’ll look to stay hot after another seven runs last night. The matchup gets even easier this time, as they’ll face RHP Jake Junis, who’s pitched just 6.2 runs in the big leagues in three appearances. He’s never seen an offense like Houston, though, so I’m expecting him to be in deep trouble. The ‘Stros are projected for 5.2 runs in this one.

Players to Consider

UPDATE: Brian McCann is NOT in the Astros’ lineup tonight against the Royals.

  • George Springer ($5,600)
  • Jose Altuve ($5,500)
  • Carlos Correa ($5,500)
  • Brian McCann ($3,200)
  • Carlos Beltran ($4,700)
  • Josh Reddick ($4,200)

3. NEW YORK METS

The Mets are also in somewhat of a sneaky good spot on this slate, as they’re projected for 5.3 runs in Texas. They’ll be up against RHP Dillon Gee, who’s not nearly the pitcher his perfect ERA leads you to believe. Gee’s pitched just 6.2 innings this season and allowed four unearned runs. The Mets have a solid crew of LHB that should be able to take advantage of Gee, particularly out in Texas’ ballpark. Jay Bruce and Curtis Granderson have both taken him deep in the past.

Players to Consider

  • Michael Conforto ($5,100)
  • Lucas Duda ($4,900)
  • Neil Walker ($4,700)
  • Jay Bruce ($4,600)
  • Curtis Granderson ($3,300)
  • Wilmer Flores ($3,900)

4. ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS

It feels like forever since we’ve had the Diamondbacks at home on a main slate, as they’ve been on the road for nearly two weeks. Arizona has scored more runs at home (175 in 29 games) than any team in MLB (teams 2-5 have all played 30+ home games). This offense is just dominant in their own ballpark, where they have 47 homers and hit an MLB-best .295. Facing the inexperienced RHP Dinelson Lamet shouldn’t be too tough of a test for the D-Backs tonight.

Players to Consider

  • Jake Lamb ($5,100)
  • Paul Goldschmidt ($5,500)
  • David Peralta ($4,000)
  • Yasmany Tomas ($3,400)
  • Gregor Blanco ($3,200)
  • Chris Iannetta ($3,200)

5. COORS FIELD

As much as I love all these other stacks, I can’t avoid the most obvious. The Indians are at Coors tonight, and the only downside here is that you’ll need to monitor the weather. Both teams are projected for around five runs with mediocre pitching on the mound. Bats from both sides of the plate are safe for both teams, as both pitchers don’t specialize against specific hitters. You can go for a single team, stack both teams together or just sprinkle some of these bats into a stack with one of the teams you choose above. Plenty of options to make this work despite the high salaries Coors always features.

Players to Consider

  • Jose Ramirez ($4,700)
  • Jason Kipnis ($4,600)
  • Francisco Lindor ($5,100)
  • Michael Brantley ($4,900)
  • Edwin Encarnacion ($4,500)
  • Carlos Santana ($4,700)
  • Charlie Blackmon ($5,600)
  • Nolan Arenado ($5,400)
  • Carlos Gonzalez ($3,800)
  • Mark Reynolds ($4,400)
  • Trevor Story ($4,800)
  • DJ LeMahieu ($4,600)
