WATCH: MLB IN 90 SECONDS JOSE RAMIREZ

There are just six games on Thursday’s MLB main slate, but there are nine teams projected to surpass 4.5 runs. Here are my top five teams to stack. Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter with comments or questions: @julianedlow.

1. CHICAGO CUBS

The Cubs are projected for just 4.8 runs, which is kind of low for a top stack, but they should be feeling good going up against LHP Jeff Locke. This is a dude they have CRUSHED in previous meetings, as a team hitting .343 with nine bombs, 10 more extra-base hits and 16 walks. Five different Cubs have homered off Locke, including Anthony Rizzo going 11-for-29 with FIVE long balls, three doubles and three walks.

Players to Consider

  • Anthony Rizzo ($5,300)
  • Kris Bryant ($4,900)
  • Willson Contreras ($3,800)
  • Javier Baez ($3,300)
  • Jon Jay ($3,300)
  • Ian Happ ($4,300)

2. NEW YORK YANKEES

The Yankees are tied for the top projection on tonight’s slate at 5.5 runs. They’ll be at home against RHP Jesse Chaves, who’s near-five ERA jumps to 6.03 on the road. He hasn’t experienced any success against this lineup, allowing them to hit .339 against him in 56 at-bats. Carter, Gardner and Headley have all homered against him, including Sanchez in his lone at-bat.

Players to Consider

  • Aaron Judge ($5,700)
  • Gary Sanchez ($5,200)
  • Brett Gardner ($4,600)
  • Matt Holiday ($4,400)
  • Chase Headley ($3,300)
  • Chris Carter ($3,600)

3. CLEVELAND INDIANS

The Indians are in Baltimore set to face LHP Wade Miley, where they’re tied for the most projected runs with New York. The wind should be blowing out at Camden Yards, which is a good sign for this stacked lineup of home runs hitters. Like all the other top stacks today, Miley has been slammed by the lineup he’ll be facing, allowing Indians’ batters to hit .344 against him over 64 at-bats. Encarnacion’s been the most dominant at 5-for-10 with two doubles and two bombs.

Players to Consider

  • Edwin Encarnacion ($5,400)
  • Jose Ramirez ($5,500)
  • Carlos Santana ($4,300)
  • Francisco Lindor ($4,600)
  • Dan Robertson ($2,900)
  • Austin Jackson ($4,000)

4. BALTIMORE ORIOLES

In the home dugout, the O’s are projected for 5.1 runs of their own. RHP Mike Clevinger will toe the rubber for Cleveland, although he’s actually been very good on the road this season outside of a trip to Coors Field, a pitcher’s nightmare to begin with. LHB Chris Davis will be missed in this one, but Baltimore still has enough firepower to put up plenty of runs.

Players to Consider

  • Seth Smith ($4,100)
  • Manny Machado ($4,600)
  • Adam Jones ($4,500)
  • Mark Trumbo ($4,300)
  • Hyun-Soo Kim ($3,100)
  • Jonathan Schoop ($4,500)

5. SEATTLE MARINERS

The theme today is BvP and there’s another pitcher that hasn’t fared well with their opponent as a team tonight. LHP Daniel Norris has allowed a .391 average in 46 at-bats to the Mariners — seven of 18 hits going for extra bases (a pair of homers). The stars have produced, as Cruz is 4-for-6 with a triple and a bomb and Cano is 4-for-10 with three doubles.

Players to Consider

  • Nelson Cruz ($4,500)
  • Robinson Cano ($4,300)
  • Jean Segura ($4,300)
  • Mitch Haniger ($4,000)
  • Guillermo Heredia ($2,900)
  • Mike Zunino ($3,700)
