Today’s targets will focus on the 2-game LCS slate. Any questions, please find me on Twitter @JasonWalkerDFS — let’s do this!
Rich Hill – LAD vs. CHC – $9,200 – Hill, despite getting pulled in the third inning of his last start, Hill is still a very dominant pitcher. In his time as a Dodger, pitching in Dodger Stadium, Hill has posted a 2.93 xFIP with a 28.1% K-rate and 4.7% walk rate with nearly 26% soft contact. Against RHH, of which the Chicago Cubs will surely stack their lineup with, Hill has a 2.75 xFIP, 27.5% K-rate and 3.5% walk rate.
Marcus Stroman – TOR vs. CLE – $8,000 – Cleveland was a completely different team on the road against RHP than they were at home. Stroman is a favorite to win tonight and the Indians only have a projected 3.7 run total here. Stroman was solid (3.52 xFIP, 0.69 HR/9 IP) in this split this season.
Corey Seager (SS) – LAD vs. CHC – $4,000 – CHC SP Arrieta, over his last 85 LHH batters faced on the road since July 1st, has a 4.92 xFIP, 14.1% walk rate and 41% hard contact rate. Seager, at home, has been over 170 wRC+ all season, but is still cooking lately as well, rocking a 173 wRC+, .283 ISO and .419 wOBA in split over his last 65 PA.
Adrian Gonzalez (1B) – LAD vs. CHC – $3,900 – Piling on the LHH hitters against Arrieta, Gonzalez, in his last 62 PA against RHP at home, has a 173 wRC+ and .263 ISO, with a .418 wOBA as well.
Josh Donaldson (3B) – TOR vs. CLE – $4,500 – At home against RHP, Donaldson was a beast, with a 173 wRC+, .341 ISO and .342 wOBA. He should be batting second for the Jays against CLE SP Bauer.
Jose Bautista (OF) – TOR vs. CLE – $3,900 – Batting in the heart of the Blue Jays lineup, Bautista has a 149 wRC+, .269 ISO and .396 wOBA in split since August 1st (67 PA) with 57% hard contact.
Edwin Encarnacion (1B) – TOR vs. CLE – $4,000 – Fantastic value for the slugger who, in his last 88 PA in split since August 1st, has a 183 wRC+, .324 ISO and .447 wOBA with 42% hard contact.
Kris Bryant (3B/OF) – CHC at LAD – $4,600 – If you’re going to roster anyone against Hill in L.A., I think Bryant is the best target here, with an incredible 200 wRC+ this season (96 PA) with a .333 ISO and .474 wOBA in split.
Carlos Santana (1B) – CLE at TOR – $4,100 – One of the only Indians to maintain his production/value away from Cleveland, Santana has a 131 wRC+ and .269 ISO in split this season (250 PA).
Joc Pederson (OF) – LAD vs. CHC – $3,600 – Like Seager, Joc has been good in this split all season, but especially lately. In his last 55 PA against RHP at home, Pederson has turned in a 233 wRC+, .465 ISO and .508 wOBA.
Yasmani Grandal (CATCH) – LAD vs. CHC – $2,800 – Another Dodger batter who has raked RHP at home this season, Grandal has raised his game as well lately, and in his last 53 PA in split, has a 179 wRC+, .370 ISO and .428 wOBA.
Ezequiel Carrera (OF) – TOR vs. CLE – $2,900 – Forecasted to bat first for the Jays in the Rogers Centre, Carrera has a 300+ wRC+ since leading off and a 167 wRC+ overall since September 1st.
