We have day games galore with 15 total games on slate this Sunday. After a couple weeks of games now, we are finally starting to get some nice 2016 stats for players. Let’s dive in, and see if we can find some value on this awesome Sunday slate.

Pitchers

Studs

Corey Kluber (RIGHT) – CLE vs. NYM– $10,600 – Kluber is the highest priced pitcher on the day, but he was great in his first start this season. He put up 19.05 DKFP, 6 SOs and only allowed 4 hits. He has a 1.094 WHIP and should be able to contain the Mets today.

Michael Wacha (RIGHT) – STL vs. CIN – $8,000 – Wacha didn’t open up the season like he would have wanted, only posting 1.15 DKFP. He did get it going in his next start with 7 SOs and 28.5 DKFP. The Cardinals are pretty heavily favored again today, and Wacha’s 1.25 WHIP should give the Reds a fit.

Values

Aaron Sanchez (RIGHT) – TOR vs. BOS – $6,200 – Sanchez is a young guy that gets great run support from his side (Blue Jays). He is averaging 22.32 DKFP in his last two games and has pitched 6 or more innings. He has a .572 OPS so far this season, and with his value price, you can really load up on hitters.

Jhoulys Chacin (RIGHT) – ATL vs. MIA – $6,600 – During one of my stack articles earlier in the week, I picked against Chacin. Well, he definitely proved me wrong in his start putting up 26.5 DKFP. He went 6 innings and had 8 strikeouts. Miami is favored in this one, but I am going to trust Chacin’s hot start and his 1.211 WHIP so far this season.

Batters

Studs

Manny Machado (3B/SS) – BAL vs. TEX – $4,100 – The Orioles are projected to score 4.6 runs today, and Machado should be able to get in on that action. He has a .533 OPS against Holland and a .318 handedness wOBA. He turned it back on during his last outing jacking a homer. Machado again has the opportunity to go big.

Bryce Harper (OF) – WAS vs. PHI – $5,000 – A price drop and Harper’s consistency…sign me up. How about an average of 22 DKFP in his last three games (with a homer in each of those). Have I convinced you yet? Harper has a SLG% of .704 and a handedness wOBA of .478. Harper should keep rolling today.

Josh Donaldson (3B) – TOR vs. BOS – $5,400 – Mr. Consistency went inconsistent in his first game against the Red Sox and posted an 0’fer. He got it back together with a 2 hit performance in the next one. He faces righty Steven Wright tonight, and he has a .386 wOBA against righties. I know he will cost you, but he has only turned us away once this season.

Jose Bautista (OF) – TOR vs. BOS – $5,300 – Bautista did us like Donaldson a couple of games ago and had a poor performance. He has a handedness wOBA of .399 and a SLG% of .590. I think the Jays get the bats going today, and I will probably stack a couple of these guys with some cheap pitching.

Prince Fielder (1B) – TEX vs. BAL – $4,700 – Fielder has been cold this season, but I think he’ll pull out of the slump today. He has a .367 wOBA against righties and should tee off.

Mark Trumbo (OF) – BAL vs. TEX – $4,000 – If we are expecting my O’s to score runs, we need some Trumbo exposure. He has a handedness wOBA of .382 on the season. He also has a 1.065 OPS against Holland lifetime.

David Ortiz (1B) BOS vs. TOR – $4,900 – This is a little contradictory because I am targeting Sanchez. However, I still love Ortiz today. He has a .419 wOBA against righties and a .340 ISO. He also has a SLG% of .638.

Carlos Correa (SS) – HOU vs. DET – $4,400 – Correa has gone cold, but I like his .356 handedness wOBA today. I think he breaks out of his slump and puts up at least a couple of hits on the day.

Values

J.J. Hardy (SS) – BAL vs. TEX – $2,500 – Sticking with my Orioles theme, I like Hardy as a value play today. He has a handedness wOBA of .217. He also has a .466 OPS against Holland.

Carlos Gonzalez (OF) – COL vs. CHC – $3,200 – Carlos has turned it up a notch lately, and even though the Rockies are a little contrarian based on scoring the least amount of runs today, I like him. He has double digit DKFP in his last 4 games. He faces Lester today with a .266 handedness wOBA, but has a .778 lifetime OPS. Contrarian it is today.

D.J. LeMahieu (2B) – COL vs. CHC – $3,300 – This play is the same concept as Gonzalez. I like targeting him against Lester, and he has a .334 handedness wOBA. Could the Rockies be a great contrarian stack? I think so.

Rajai Davis (OF) – CLE vs. NYM – $3,400 – Rajai has had 3 good games in a row. He has a handedness wOBA of .294 and an ISO of .199. I think a lot of people will overlook his ability to score today.

Leonys Martin (2B) – SEA vs. NYY – $2,600 – Sometimes you have to look deep in the order to find value. I don’t necessarily like Martin against Tanaka, but I love his price. I think his .295 wOBA is acceptable and will take a flier on him tonight.

Denard Span (OF) – SF vs. LAD – $3,800 – I don’t usually consider Span a value play. He has gone 13, 10 and 12 DKFP in his last 3. He has a .373 handedness wOBA tonight and a .146 ISO. I like him a lot today.

Matthew Joyce (OF) – PIT vs. MIL – $2,300 – Joyce may or may not get in the lineup, so check closer to game time. His price is bottom of the barrel, and he has a handedness wOBA of .276. However, he has only had more than 1 AB twice this year.

Ryan Raburn (OF) – COL vs. CHC – $2,900 – I still love throwing out the contrarian stack of the lowest run total on the day, and Raburn is in this line. Raburn hasn’t performed great in the series against the Cubs, but he does have a .434 wOBA against lefties. He also has a nice .617 SLG%, so I will definitely consider him today.
