MLB Arcade Mode will bring us a five-game slate tonight. If you aren’t familiar with Arcade Mode, you can brush up on all the happenings by going here. Once you’re acclimated with the rules, we can dive into the information for tonight’s slate. As always, you can reach me on the ol’ Twitter machine @SBuchanan24.

Jake Odorizzi – TB vs. CWS – $15,000 – Odorizzi gets a very favorable matchup against the White Sox tonight in Tampa. He’s coming off two poor starts against the Mariners and Twins, but he returns to where he’s been the most successful. In five home starts, Odorizzi is averaging 36.8 FPPG with a .285 wOBA, a .422 SLG and a K/9 of 7.5. The White Sox have not been a strong club on the road, posting a .302 wOBA with a K% of 21.8, and only have an implied run total of 3.7 runs. I imagine Odorizzi will be vastly popular tonight, but for a good reason.

Michael Pineda – NYY vs. BOS – $14,500 – I’ve been on the fence with Pineda almost the entire day. I woke up and thought “what do I do with Pineda?” The Red Sox are not a bad hitting team by any means, but they were just embarrassed by an aging CC Sabathia at Yankee Stadium last night. Pineda has been his strongest at home, averaging a whopping 52.6 FPPG in six starts with a .246 wOBA, a .340 SLG and a 9.9 K/9. The Red Sox aren’t striking out much, owning just an 18.8 K% against righties. In the end, Pineda is one of the stronger candidates on the slate and always possess upside when he’s at home.

Evan Longoria – TB vs. CWS – $6,500 – Longoria is one of my favorite plays for tonight, and he’s hardly an expensive hitter. At just $6,500, Longoria draws a very favorable matchup against Derek Holland. Against righties, Holland has allowed all 11 of his home runs on the year with a .362 wOBA and a .502 SLG. Longoria has been his strongest at Tropicana Field this year, so I’m hoping for some more of that tonight.

Bryce Harper – WAS vs. BAL – $9,000 – Nationals Park has been quite kind to Harper when he faces off against right-handed pitching. Heading into tonight, Harper is sporting a .501 wOBA with a .788 SLG and a .482 OBP. Going up against a weak starting pitcher in Alec Asher, what more could you ask for here?

Chris Davis – BAL vs. WAS – $7,000 – Chris Davis will be taking on Joe Ross tonight who has been….well….not good. It’s a small sample size, but you can’t deny how many home runs he’s allowed. In 30 innings, Ross has allowed nine home runs with five of those going to lefties. Davis is hitting well as of late, hitting three in his last 10 games while averaging 26 FPPG.

Odubel Herrera – PHI vs. ATL – $6,500 – Herrera is another batter who is crushing it as of late. Over the span of his last 10 games, Herrera has 13 hits with TWELVE of them going for extra bases. With 10 doubles and two home runs, it’s safe to say he sees the ball well. He’ll take on R.A. Dickey tonight, who is allowing a .400 wOBA to lefties at home with a .581 SLG.

Dee Gordon – MIA vs. PIT – $7,000 – Gerrit Cole is someone who allows plenty of stolen bases, so Dee Gordon feels like a no-brainer here. Gordon has stolen 19 bags on the season and four over his last 10 games. Coupled with the fact that Cole is allowing a .366 wOBA to lefties, Gordon is an exceptional play on this Thursday night.
