This article will cover the six game Arcade Mode slate starting at 7:05 PM EST, so let’s dive into the information. As always, you can reach me on the ol’ Twitter machine @SBuchanan24.

Pitchers

Eduardo Rodriguez – BOS vs. TOR – $13,500 – Tonight’s Arcade Mode slate brings us a challenging list of pitchers to choose from. I have Rodriguez down as my top pick because of his strikeout potential and his friendly salary. He’ll take on a Blue Jays club that sports just a .314 wOBA against lefties with a .393 OBP and a .328 OBP. They’re on the higher side of K% compared to the rest of the league, owning a 21.5%, which ranks 11th in the league. Rodriguez is coming off the disabled list, but I don’t believe he’ll be on a pitch count since he threw 94 pitches in his last rehab start.

Chad Kuhl – PIT vs. MIL – $9,500 – Again, I’m shooting for the strikeout potential here and not necessarily a favorable matchup. Kuhl will be taking on the hard hitting Brewers club that owns a .330 wOBA against righties with a .450 SLG and a .324 OBP. The attractive stat here is the 25.1 K% against righties, which ranks third in the league. Kuhl does have some strikeout potential with an overall 7.2 K/9 on the season, but his $9,500 salary is what puts him over the top for me. He’s faced this Brewers club twice already and logged eight strikeouts in eight innings of work with two earned runs and nine hits.

Hitters

Jay Bruce – NYM vs. STL – $8,000 – Adam Wainwright on the road has been downright brutal, thus targeting against him in these matchups is almost a must. Jay Bruce is one of my favorite hitters on this slate as Wainwright sports a .394 wOBA against lefties with a .526 SLG and a .402 OBP on the road. Bruce has done his best work at Citi Field against righties, posting a .402 wOBA with a .590 SLG and 10 of his 24 home runs.

Rougned Odor – TEX vs. BAL – $6,500 – Odor is in the midst of a 0-15 skid, but he’s got a great chance to snap it with his matchup against Chris Tillman. Lefties have been crushing Tillman this season, as he owns a .440 wOBA against them with a .538 SLG and a .482 OBP. Odor brings some cheap pop to your roster tonight with 16 of his 17 home runs coming against right-handed pitching.

Justin Bour – MIA vs. PHI – $8,500 – – Bour’s power has cooled off a bit, but it’s tough to match hitting 11 in the month of May. Nonetheless, he faces off against Jerad Eickhoff tonight, who sports a .372 wOBA against lefties on the road with a .502 SLG.

Matt Carpenter – STL vs. NYM – $7,000 – Zack Wheeler has struggled with left-handed bats at Citi Field this year. On the season, he’s posting a .391 wOBA in those matchups with a .529 SLG and five of his 12 home runs allowed. Carpenter on the road has a .384 wOBA against righties on the road with a .509 SLG and eight of his 14 home runs. Carpenter has posted fantasy points in every game in the month of July up to this point.

Andrew McCutchen – PIT vs. MIL – $9,000 – The demise of Andrew McCutchen may have been put to rest after his stellar month of June and continued hot July. Since June 1st, McCutchen is posting a .486 wOBA with a .487 OBP, a .687 SLG and nine of his 17 home runs. He’ll face off against lefty Brent Suter, who is allowing a .320 wOBA to righties with a .405 SLG in his short time pitching this season. McCutchen has been crushing lefties to the tune of a .483 wOBA and a .738 SLG.
