KMarko HR

Welcome back to the daily DraftKings picks where we try to get super rich playing daily fantasy baseball. As usual I’ll do a brief recap of my lineups from the night before then throw out some picks that I’m brainstorming for tonight, and hopefully get some good feedback/tips/picks from you guys either in the comment section or on Twitter @kmarkobarstool.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I messed around with some small money tournaments, didn’t really want to spend the time researching stuff when I could be sitting at a pool eating 1 thousand hamburgers and drinking instead. Time to get back on the horse though and win some serious cash – picks were a little cold at the end of last week but I’m feeling a turn around, so let’s get into the night slate.

Pitcher Notes

Chris Sale, ever heard of him? Not a great matchup obviously but he may also be matchup proof so if you wanna spend up, I don’t blame you.

Carlos Carrasco…said I was avoiding him last time out, immediately went out and through 8 2/3 of a no hitter.

Jon Lester is coming in pretty cheap against an ice cold Cardinals team…

Chris Heston…anyone know what happened last time he faced the Mets?

1B Adam Lind $4.5K

One of my favorite strategies to use is to find teams that are hot then using 2 or 3 guys that are in the heart of that lineup…not exactly earth shattering, I know, but it’s been paying off for me. And don’t look now but the Brewers are the MLB’s hottest team.

Finally starting to hit, and Lind has been right in the middle of it. Been using him for the past week in all my lineups and he hasn’t let me down yet so I’ll keep riding him (in a completely straight way) until the wheels fall off.

C Buster Posey $4.5K

Catcher is always a bitch to fill, so it’s nice to have an option that jumps right off the page for once. Buster Posey against a lefty, done and done. Yes he’s the most expensive catcher, but at only 4.5K, that’s a pretty great bargain for a guy with his type
of upside. And a little added bonus: 35 MPH wind gusts out to left center tonight.

2B/3B Justin Turner

After absolutely blowing up and being one of the best hitters in baseball a few weeks ago, Turner has come back down to Earth a little bit. Fortunately so has his price, which makes me want to get right back on him tonight (lot of homoerotic innuendo in the blog today, sorry about that). Also, I’m not making him a featured play, but I’m definitely leaning towards Joc tonight as well. Would love to see him kick off another massive homer streak.

2B/SS Cesar Hernandez $3.1K

Ok I’ve been holding off on this one as long as possible, but it’s finally time to share with my friends (yes I consider all you guys friends). Cesar Hernandez has been absolutely on FIRE and they just flat out refuse to raise his price. Who? Unless you’re a diehard Phillies fan or a diehard DFS player, you probably have never heard of him. But he’s been between 2.9-3.1K all season despite putting up double digits every single night. He’s the first guy I put in my lineup for the past 2 weeks. Fits in at 2B and SS, two hard positions to fill, and promptly goes 3-4 with 2 SBs every night. LOVE this guy.

Of course now that I officially put him here he will be going 0-5 with 3 Ks tonight, so, play at your own risk. (Although it’s tough to call 3.1K a risk)

Good luck tonight, remember to check lineups and the weather to make sure these guys are good to go. @kmarkobarstool with your tips and picks.
