Instructional League action kicked off today for Major League Baseball with the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals taking each other on in the opener. It’s been one of the most anticipated Instructional League contests in recent memory, thanks in part to one Tim Tebow – the former University of Florida and NFL QB who signed a minor league contract with the Mets last month.

So, when Tebow came to the plate for his FIRST EVER professional at-bat, you’ll never believe what he did:

He went yard, because of course he did. First pitch. And his teammates loved it.

May the legend of Tim Tebow never die. We hope to see him in the majors one day soon…
