KBOCheatSheet

As we all await MLB to return, DraftKings has done its part to bring baseball into our lives by offering Korean Baseball DFS. While the scoring is the same as the MLB on DraftKings, this league is heavily weighted toward hitters.

With lineups locking extremely early in the morning, it’s important to keep an eye out on lineups prior to that. As we all learn the league, we’ll certainly get into a rhythm once these games start. Thursday morning’s slate locks at 5:30 a.m. ET.

Lineup Starters

Pitcher to Build Around

Seung Ho Lee, KIW vs. SAM, $8,100 — The Lions are certainly a team to pick on with opposing pitchers. Lee doesn’t have the strongest strikeout arsenal on this slate but the Lions have been striking out the most in the early going. In fact, of players with at least 20 at-bats on the Lions, they’ve averaged 6.5 strikeouts per game. As for Lee, he ended 2019 with a K/9 of 6 through 122 2/3 innings. With the Heroes as heavy favorites against the Lions, who are averaging just 4.2 runs per game, he should be in a good position for the win.

Heavy Hitter to Pay For

Dong Min Han, SK vs. LG, $4,200 — Even after getting roughed up in his first start, Tyler Wilson ($7,200) are huge favorites against the SK Wyverns. However, I’m really liking using Han tonight, who has been absolutely mashing in the early going. Through 23 at-bats, Han is slashing .391/.407/1.000 with a .609 ISO. That isolated power is the best in the league currently and will have the benefit of hitting on the left side against the righty Wilson. He’s simply worth what should be a much higher salary than he’s currently at.

Save Big by Drafting…

Hoon Jung, LOT vs. DOO, $2,600 — Another player who feels vastly underpriced tonight is Jung. He’s going up against Chris Flexen ($8,800), who was decent in his first start for the Bears. Flexen was able to strike out six but also allowed three runs on seven hits through six innings. Jung has a .451 wOBA and a .198 ISO thus far while knocking in six runs. For as cheap as he is in an offense averaging 7.4 runs per game, he should be on your radar.
