Can we just go back in time and play a Cubs stack from yesterday? Unfortunately we can’t get those 16 runs back. However, there is a nice 15 game slate today that should produce us some opportunities to put up some nice runs. Let’s jump in and look at the best stacking options today.

Expensive Stacks

Colorado Rockies vs. Scott Kazmir

Projected Team Total: 5.3 Runs

We are back at Coors, which means stack them up. Coors is and will forever be ranked the top hitters park in the league. The Rockies are my 3rd favorite stack on the night, but they still should be very popular. Kazmir has struggled this season putting up a 6.43 ERA in 14 innings. He has a .731 OPS against RHBs and an .826 OPS against LHBs. The Rockies have a team handedness wOBA of .334 and a team ISO of .192. DJ LeMahieu, Trevor Story, Carlos Gonzalez, Nolan Arenado and Ben Paulsen will cost you (well, maybe not Ben Paulsen) but could definitely post a nice return tonight.

Houston Astros vs. Steven Wright

Projected Team Total: 4.7 Runs

Minute Maid Park hasn’t been great for hitters this season with a park rating of .643. This game is projected at 9 runs, with the Astros favored at -145. Wright hasn’t won a game this season and has an overall OPS of .654. He has a .643 OPS against RHB and a .697 OPS against LHB. The Astros have a team handedness wOBA of .324. Jose Altuve has a .667 OPS against Wright lifetime and is in play tonight. I also like George Springer, Colby Rasmus, Carlos Correa and a sprinkle of Marwin Gonzalez on the evening.

Value Stacks

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Jon Gray

Projected Team Total: 5.7 Runs

It amazes me how affordable a Dodgers stack actually is on DK. Gray will get his first start on the season after posting a 5.53 ERA in 40 innings last year. The Dodgers boast a team handedness wOBA of .319 and should welcome Gray to 2016. Justin Turner, Yasmani Grandal and Corey Seager all have over a 1.00 OPS lifetime against Gray. It also doesn’t hurt that there are 3 lefties in the top 4 hitters considering Gray’s .755 OPS against LHBs. Throw in a little Chase Utley and Adrian Gonzalez to finish off the stack. Remember, we are still at Coors Field.

Chicago White Sox vs. Martin Perez

Projected Team Total: 4.5 Runs

US Cellular Park has a 1.195 park rating so far this year and has been nice to hitters. The projected total is at 8 runs with the Sox heavily favored at -150. Perez has been good this year, but still doesn’t have a win to his name. He has a 3.44 ERA on the year and has an .841 OPS against RHB (which the Sox have a lot of). The White Sox have a team handedness wOBA of .303 and Jimmy Rollins, Todd Frazier, Jerry Sands and Jose Abreu make for a good stack.

Contrarian Stacks

Cincinnati Reds vs. Jon Lester

Projected Team Total: 3.3

I would say that the Reds definitely have something to prove after their beat down from the Cubs last night. I don’t think we see an Arrieta-like performance from Lester tonight. Lester has a 2.21 ERA in 20 innings so far this season and hasn’t looked bad. I like the Reds RHBs tonight and will have exposure to Eugenio Suarez (.398 wOBA), Zack Cozart (.360 wOBA), Joey Votto (.413 wOBA) and Brandon Phillips (.325 wOBA).

Atlanta Braves vs. Matt Harvey

Projected Team Total: 3.2 Runs

This one may come as a shocker because they are facing Matt Harvey. However, Matt Harvey hasn’t been good at all this season. He has a 5.71 ERA over 17 innings. Harvey has a .791 OPS against RHB and a .717 OPS against LHB. The Braves have a team handedness wOBA .299, but if you are looking for contrarian, look no further than these guys. I am thinking a little Nick Markakis, Freddie Freeman, A.J. Pierzynski and Erick Aybar could be where no one else looks tonight.
