It is Sunday and we are closing another week of MLS matches. Hopefully yesterday you didn’t listen to me and avoided players like Ocatavio Rivero and Kei Kamara. Today in our MLS Game Breakdown, we will look at two great matchups and analyze some injury concerns and potential breakout players for this upcoming slate of games.

Chicago Fire @ Sporting KC
Game Analysis
Chicago is on a three game win streak and will look to continue it against Sporting KC. The Fire still don’t have a player with more than one goal this year, which isn’t good when trying to find a strong play for fantasy soccer on Sunday. For Sporting KC, Dom Dwyer continues to struggle to find the back of the net, but luckily Krisztain Nemeth has come out of nowhere to lead the team in scoring. This will be the third game Sporting KC will play without defender Ike Opara and his absence is apparent after giving up four goals last week against Houston. If they can’t figure out their new defensive pairing, look for Chicago to feast on the inexperience backline.
Line: Sporting KC (-1/2) O/U: 2 1/2 (o: EVEN, u: -130)

Seattle Sounders @ New York City FC
Game Analysis
The Sounders, who boast the best goals against record in the league, will go against the worst scoring team in the league. New York City FC has only scored five goals this season, and they hope the potential return of David Villa will change that. Although, they will be without midfield Andrew Jacobson this week after his red card he picked up last week against Chicago. This might open up the midfield a bit for Marco Pappa and Clint Dempsey, which will only lead to more chances for Obafemi Martins and Lamar Neagle.
Line: (Pick) O/U: 2 1/2 (o: +120, u: -155)
