The weekend concludes with two great rivalry games, including the nightcap between two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. As we look at today’s MLS Game Breakdown I will be analyzing some injury concerns and look for potential breakout players. Portland Timbers @ Seattle Sounders
Game Analysis
The Portland/Seattle rivalry was intensified last meeting when Portland destroyed Seattle 4-1 and the Sounders will want to make sure that doesn’t happen again. The Sounders looked like they may turn the corner after Obafemi Martin’s return, but they still have lost six of their last seven games. Osvaldo Alonso and Clint Dempsey are both questionable but may be ready to finally return to the team as the Sounders try to mix some of their new signings with their experienced players. As for the Timbers, Diego Chara will be forced to serve a one game suspension, but the rest of the team will be ready for action against Seattle. Lucas Melano looks like he may have finally arrived after his one goal and one assist performance last weekend against Houston. Seattle may have the greatest home field advantage in MLS and I expect them to pick up a win this Sunday as they try to secure a playoff spot.
Line: (Pick) O/U: 3 (o: -105, u: -140)

Players to Watch
* Diego Valeri, Portland Timbers ($9,500)
* Lucas Melano, Portland Timbers ($5,500)
* Obafemi Martins, Seattle Sounders ($9.800)
* Clint Dempsey, Seattle Sounders ($10,000)

DC United @ New York Red Bulls
Game Analysis
The Red Bulls were jumped by Columbus yesterday in the Eastern Conference standings as both are still chasing DC United. DC United are on a difficult two game losing streak and now will travel to Red Bull Arena in hopes to pick up a very impressive away win. Chris Korb, Fabian Espindola, and Bill Hamid all look like they will be unable to go once again, making that task very difficult. As for the New York Red Bulls, they picked up a bad loss against Chicago midweek, but will look to bounce back at home on Sunday. Kemar Lawrence and Chris Duvall will both be out on Sunday, but the rest of the squad is healthy and ready to pick up three points to put them only two points behind DC United at the top of the Eastern Conference.
Line: New York Red Bulls (-1) O/U: 3 (o: -115, u: -115)
