Portland Timbers @ San Jose Earthquakes

Game Analysis

San Jose will look to avoid their fifth straight loss on Sunday against a very strong Portland Timbers team. Portland has had the upper hand over the past couple of matchups, but San Jose will be at home and see the return of Chris Wondolowski from the Gold Cup. Unfortunately another key component to their team, Clarence Goodson, looks to be in doubt for the match with an injury. As for Portland, are close to full strength with only Ben Zemanski on the sideline. The Timbers will hope that Fanendo Adi and Lucas Melano will both be ready to contribute after being on the sideline last weekend. Expect Portland to try to steal a win away from home against a San Jose Earthquakes team in very poor form.

Line: (PICK) O/U: 2 ½ (o: -112, u: -128)

Players to Watch

  • Chris Wondolowski, San Jose Earthquakes ($9,200)
  • Quincy Amarikwa, San Jose Earthquakes ($5,800)
  • Lucas Melano, Portland Timbers ($5,500)
  • Diego Valeri, Portland Timbers ($9,100)

FC Dallas @ Chicago Fire

Game Analysis

FC Dallas will be looking for their sixth straight win away from home against a struggling Chicago Fire team. To make matters worse for Chicago, Dallas has no injuries to worry about and will be at full strength on Sunday. Fabian Castillo has been phenomenal as of late, but the youngster, Michael Barrios has been huge in the absence of Blas Perez and Tesho Akindele. It’s unsure what his role will be with the return of both, but if he gets his chance, he will be a great play given his low price. As for Chicago, they will be without defenders Jeff Larentowicz and Ty Harden. Also Mike Magee’s status is in doubt, which leaves much of the pressure on David Accam to perform in attack. Expect FC Dallas to dominate much of this game and if they get on the board early there may be no looking back.

Line: (PICK) O/U: 2 ½ (o: -128, u: -112)

Players to Watch

  • Fabian Castillo, FC Dallas ($10,100)
  • Mauro Diaz, FC Dallas ($9,200)
  • David Accam, Chicago Fire ($5,200)
  • Harry Shipp, Chicago Fire ($7,200)
