Saturday’s Contests

Goalkeeper

Studs

Adrian – ($4,900) – West Ham United – Adrian and West Ham United have a great matchup this week as they travel to Sunderland on Saturday. Sunderland have gone scoreless in three straight games and have only scored six goals all season. Adrian did let in two goals to Norwich City last weekend in a draw, but did his part with five saves.

Joe Hart – ($5,700) – Manchester City – Joe Hart returned to the Manchester City starting eleven midweek and showed up in a huge way. He earned 18 points and made five spectacular saves including one penalty save. Newcastle United will travel to Manchester where Hart has only give up two goals in league play all season. Expect Hart to justify his high price on Saturday.

Values

Heurelho Gomes – ($4,300) – Watford – Gomes didn’t put up great numbers last weekend at home against Crystal Palace but will have a great opportunity to bounce back on Saturday. Watford will face Bournemouth who will be without leading goal scorer, Callum Wilson, for the remainder of the season after he picked up a severe knee injury last weekend. That leaves Bournemouth with Glenn Murray or Lee Tomlin at forward, which bodes well for Gomes and the Watford defense.

Defender

Studs

Jordan Amavi – ($4,500) – Aston Villa – Amavi continued his strong start to his Premier League career after he picked up his second career assist against Liverpool last weekend. Aston Villa has been very poor in defense, giving up seven goals over their last three games. That being said, they have scored four goals in their last three games and Amavi is key when he is able to get forward and help the attack.

Bacary Sagna – ($4,700) – Manchester City – Sagna must continue his strong play if he want to hold off Pablo Zabaleta who is slowly returning from his injury. Sagna started the year off strong, but has slowed down as of late. Any Manchester City defender will be a solid play on Saturday though, as a clean sheet is very likely.

Values

Ryan Bertrand – ($3,600) – Southampton – Bertrand finally returned from his long injury layoff and played a full 90 minutes against Swansea City on Saturday. He struggled to get involved in the attack with only one cross the entire game, but given his track record we all expect that to change. He will be a great value play on Saturday even if Southampton must travel to Chelsea to face his former team.

Alan Hutton – ($4,000) – Aston Villa – Hutton has been overshadowed by Jordan Amavi, but he has been very good so far this season. He has 22 crosses over his last four games and earned his first assist of the season on Saturday against Liverpool. As mentioned with Amavi, Aston Villa have been poor defensively but Hutton has been solid in attack and it should continue on Saturday.

Midfielder

Studs

Riyad Mahrez – ($10,100) – Leicester City – Mahrez was one of the few players for Leicester City who struggled to get involved against Arsenal on Saturday. Despite that, he scored 11 fantasy points on four shots and four crosses. Norwich City have conceded five goals in their three home games this season, and Leicester City have scored five goals in three road games. Expect Mahrez to be right in the thick of the action on Saturday.

Dimitri Payet – ($8,700) – West Ham United – Payet recorded his second straight game with an assist last weekend and now has two goals and two assists over his last three games. West Ham have been very good this season and Sunderland are in last place for a reason. Payet will be the main focal point in West Ham’s attack once again on Saturday.

Values

Kevin De Bruyne – ($7,300) – Manchester City – De Bruyne has scored a goal in each of his last two Premier League games and is still valued at a very affordable price on DraftKings. He started midweek even with David Silva in the starting lineup and expect him to continue to keep his place in the high powered Manchester City offense.

Willian – ($5,900) – Chelsea – Willian scored a goal in his third straight game midweek against Porto. His last three performances resulted in a 22 point, 15 point, and a 14 point game on DraftKings. Although he has been used as a late substitute in the last two Premier League games, it wouldn’t be surprising if Willian were to enter the starting lineup and have an impact against Southampton on Saturday.

Forwards

Studs

Jamie Vardy – ($9,000) – Leicester City – Vardy has been outstanding as of late, scoring goals in four straight games including two in a defeat to Arsenal. He has scored 16+ points in each of those four games and should be expected to do similar on Saturday. I already wrote about Norwich City’s struggles at home this season and Vardy, along with Riyad Mahrez should be the main beneficiaries.

Diafra Sakho – ($8,500) – West Ham United – Similar to Vardy, Sakho has been outstanding recently filling in for the injured Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia. With Carroll nearing full fitness, Sakho is hitting his stride at the right time with goals in three of his last four starts. Last weekend against Norwich City he managed to get off eight shots, but only scored once. As mentioned before, Sunderland are in last place and will have a very difficult time stopping Sakho on Saturday.

Values

Jonathan Walters – ($5,100) – Stoke City – Walters has scored a goal in two straight games and has a very favorable matchup on Saturday in hopes to make it three in a row. Aston Villa has given up seven goals in their last three games and are very suspect in defense. Stoke City and Jonathan Walters should have plenty of chances in front of goal on Saturday.

Rudy Gestede – ($5,300) – Aston Villa – Gestede has been in and out of the starting lineup since he scored on the opening weekend, but his two goals against Liverpool last week might force him into the starting lineup. He was very good in Aston Villa’s loss to Liverpool and will have a great chance to repeat a similar performance on Saturday against Stoke City.
