Another weekend, another fun slate of Saturday EPL games on DraftKings. We have some really interesting matchups this week on what looks to be an exciting slate. 7 games in all, six 10AM ET games with Arsenal facing Newcastle in the later 12.30ET kickoff.

As always i’ll go position by position and try to give some plays at a range of price points. Lets get started…

Thibaut Courtois $5,700 – I think he has to be your ‘safest’ play this week if you are looking for a win and a high chance of a clean sheet. He got a night off in the Champions League in midweek but should return to the net on Saturday with a nice looking home matchup against Hull. Chelsea as a team had their unbeaten run snapped last week by Newcastle and this sets up perfectly for them to make a statement and bounce back to form in the lead with a dominant win. Courtois is a great play, if you feel comfortable paying up to him.

Fraser Forster $4,600 – I love this price. Most people will see Southampton’s dip in form recently and assume they aren’t playing well. In truth, if you have watched their last 3 games they have played some very tough teams and could easily have got a result in all three. Southampton are still playing good football and will be fired up to get a win this weekend on the road at Burnley. This Southampton defence has made a few errors recently but just a few weeks ago we were hailing it as the best in the league, Forster is a fantastic play this week and I won’t hesitate to take advantage of the saving from Courtois/Hart in any game format.

Others I like: Joe Hart $5,400 and Asmir Begovic $4,100.

Branislav Ivanovic $5,200 – I really hate this guy, I don’t know what it is, he just annoys me as a player. HOWEVER, looking at it from a purely DFS production stand point, you have to love him this week. He is averaging almost 11 fantasy points over his last 5 games without scoring or getting any assists. That is very solid and consistent production. He also has the upside of either setting up or getting on the end of something in the offensive third for this high powered Chelsea offence. Topped off by the great potential for a clean sheet bonus this week, don’t hesitate to pull the trigger in all formats.

Nathaniel Clyne $4,400 – Similarly to the thinking behind Forster in the goalkeepers section, I love Clyne this week. The past three games have been against Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City for Southampton, you can expect a downtick in production in those kind of games where full backs are pinned back by much more attacking and talented opposing forwards. This week Clyne should be able to push on again and contribute offensively against Burnley who should be overmatched by Southampton’s talent and ball movement. I like Clyne over Ryan Bertrand purely based on price.

Others I like: Pablo Zabaleta $4,600, Gael Clichy $4,400, Aaron Cresswell $4,400, Alan Hutton $3,700 and Phil Bardsley $3,500.

Eden Hazard $9,100 – Hazard got a night off in midweek so should be fresh coming into this game. Other than the fact it is a fantastic matchup at home to Hull, what really draws me to him this week is the fact that midfield maestro Cesc Fabregas will be serving a 1 match suspension for accumulating 5 yellow cards. This should see everything flow through Hazard and him serve even more as playmaker in Fabregas’ absence. He is pricey but Hazard is my favourite play this week.

David Silva $7,600 – The little magician made his return in midweek as a substitute and it couldn’t have come at a better time for Man City who will be without Sergio Aguero for anything up to 8weeks based on some reports. If Silva draws the start this weekend he should slot right is as playmaker on this side, similar to the role Fabregas usually plays for Chelsea. He should also be over most set pieces which adds assist potential. Its a gut, and risky play, taking a guy coming off injury, so i’d only use it in GPPs but I think he really announces his return on Saturday. Also, if you are a football purist, just watch this guy play. His centre of gravity and quick feet combined with amazing vision and speed of thought make for a play style that is as smooth as silk and always entertaining.

Others I like: Dusan Tadic $9,900, Steward Downing $6,800, Jesus Navas $5,800, Yannick Bolasie $5,700, Willian $5,600 and Wilfried Zaha $4,500.

Disclaimer: Diego Costa, Alexis Sanchez and I’m adding Graziano Pelle here as the three forwards above $10k are all always in play and Costa and Pelle both have very appealing matchups this week. If you can afford these guys, you should feel comfortable playing any of them most weeks.

Edin Dzeko $8,700 – Normally I don’t like taking a central striker, a big man, I prefer the forwards who play wide and like to cross as well as shoot as it provides a better floor. This week however, I feel it would be a mistake not to write up Dzeko who will be expected to lead the line for Man City without Aguero and should see a lot of chances fall his way in a match up against a poor Leicester defence. He has hat-trick upside but be aware all his points will come from shots, goals and assists.

Bojan Krkic $5,900 – This is a nostalgic one for me. I have followed Bogan’s career ever since he broke through as a youngster at Barcelona around the same time as Lionel Messi, obviously their careers took different paths but there was a time he was considered to be one of the hottest young talents in world football. When he signed for Stoke I was desperate to see if he could show that talent in the EPL. In recent weeks the signs have been there that he was finding his form and anyone who watched the game against Arsenal last week will know, its finally clicking for him. He was amazing and completely destroyed the Gunners. He had 21 fantasy points and it could have been more if it weren’t for another goal being disallowed. His price seems slow to catch up to his form and I love him this week.

Others I like: Diafra Sakho $8,300, Olivier Giroud $7,200 (too cheap if starting), Saido Mane $7,200, Andy Carroll $6,300 and Connor Wickham $5,400.

Well thats it for another week. Give me a follow on twitter @cjhopkins07 I will be tweeting out lineups as they come in on Saturday morning as well as any late emerging value I spot. Feel free to hit me up with any questions and good luck in all of your games!
