October is winding down and it’s been a great month for sports! Hopefully you’ve been winning some cash in CFB on DraftKings to spend on Halloween candy. We’ve got a solid slate of late games for Saturday, and here are some players you should consider drafting. Good luck!
J.T. Barrett vs Rutgers – ($8,300) – Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett finally got the keys to the castle, starting this week against Rutgers. Not only will this be a great matchup for Ohio State, but this kid can flat out ball. Barrett is a running quarterback, first and foremost, who’s scored five rushing touchdowns over the last two weeks. Barrett is a great stand-alone play, as I wouldn’t touch the Buckeyes’ receivers.
Dak Prescott vs Kentucky – ($8,700) – Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott completed 30-of-43 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns last week against LA Tech. Prescott also added another score on the ground, which is his greatest fantasy asset. The Bulldogs return to SEC conference play against a decent Kentucky team. Prescott should have no problems finding the end zone in this one.
Kyle Allen vs Ole Miss – ($6,600) – Although Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen struggled mightily against an incredible Alabama defense last week, the sophomore will get back on that horse this weekend against Ole Miss. The Runnin’ Rebels biggest hole in their defense is the secondary, allowing 230 passing yards per game. Kyle Allen has a chance for a quick redemption.
Leonard Fournette vs Western Kentucky – ($9,800) – Just take a look at LSU RB Leonard Fournette’s headshot and tell me he doesn’t look like a man amongst boys. Even last week against a very solid Florida run defense, Fournette put up 180 yards and two touchdowns. He is averaging 200 rushing yards and two touchdowns per game, right on the nose. Western Kentucky is the next victim.
Devontae Booker vs USC – ($8,400) – Utah RB Devontae Booker is the engine for this entire Utah offense. Where he goes, the Utes follow. Booker provides the team with great consistency both in touches and fantasy production. I would invest highly in the running backs for this slate, and this guy fits the bill against a mediocre USC run defense that gives up nearly 170 rushing yards per game.
Stanley Boom Williams vs Mississippi State – ($5,500) – I really like Kentucky RB Stanley Boom Williams, and not only for his sick name. Williams ran for 113 yards on just 16 carries and two touchdowns against Auburn in the Wildcats last game. It was his first game action since September 26th, crossing the 100-yard mark for the third time this season. The sophomore should produce relatively well against Mississippi State this week. The Bulldogs give up over 160 rushing yards per game.
JuJu Smith-Schuster vs Utah – ($6,600) – I don’t necessarily like USC’s matchup with Utah, but JuJu Smith is the Trojans best player on the outside. Last week against a stout Notre Dame defense, Smith-Schuster tallied six receptions for 1
39 yards and a touchdown. He also returns kicks for the Trojans. Look for QB Cody Kessler to look for JuJu early and often to keep up with Utah.
Christian Kirk vs Ole Miss – ($6,400) – I love the idea of pairing up Texas A&M WR Christian Kirk with QB Kyle Allen this week. The dynamic Kirk is always a threat to take the ball to the house every time he touches the rock. Kirk has had at least six catches in five of six games this season and is poised for another breakout game against an Ole Miss defense that got torn apart by Memphis.
Laquon Treadwell vs Texas A&M – ($6,100) – Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell has finally gotten back to succesful ways, going over 130 receiving yards in three of his last four games. His price is extremely reasonable and I like matching him up with QB Chad Kelly. Texas A&M’s defense isn’t anything to write home about, so Treadwell could be a very viable option this week.
Nelson Spruce vs Oregon State – ($5,700) – Colorado WR Nelson Spruce may not find the end zone, but you best believe he’ll get a lion’s share of targets. Spruce averages about 6.5 receptions per game and is fourth all-time in the Pac-12 for receptions. An injury to fellow WR Shay Fields should only add to Spruce’s plate.
Quincy Adeboyejo vs Texas A&M – ($4,500) – Ole Miss WR Quincy Adeboyejo is sort of a risky play because he tends to be hit or miss. His inconsistency scares me a little but, he’s always good for one big play. Adeboyejo scored five times over the first three games of the season and this matchup with Texas A&M should be a shootout. I’m willing to roll the dice on him.
Ronald Jones II vs Utah – ($3,700) – This may be another tough matchup for the Trojans, but I like USC RB Ronald Jones because of how extremely explosive he is compared to his ridiculously cheap pricing. With fellow RB Tre Madden banged up, Ronald Jones will see a ton of touches this week.
