October is arguably the best sports month of the year. What better way to start off the month than winning a boat load of cash in CFB DraftKings? We’ve got a great slate of late games for Saturday, and here are some players you should consider drafting. Good luck!
Trevone Boykin vs Kansas State – ($9,100) – What more needs to be said about this TCU offense, led by Heisman-candidate Trevone Boykin. After his fourth straight game of four or more passing touchdowns, Boykin passed Andy Dalton as TCU’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns. This guy should add onto that miletstone this week against a stiffer Kansas State defense.
Jared Goff vs Utah – ($8,100) – Most people may shy away from starting Cal QB Jared Goff because Utah is such a great team. The thing is, the Utes has the 54th-ranked pass defense, which isn’t anything to write home about. Goff should continue to find success through the air and put up satisfactory numbers this week.
Skyler Howard vs Oklahoma State – ($6,200) – West Virginia QB Sklyer Howard finally came back down to earth last week against Oklahoma. It really wasn’t his fault though considering the Mountaineers allowed seven sacks. Things should get much easier this week against Oklahoma State.
Other recommendations: Kent Myers ($5,800)
Demario Richard vs Colorado – ($7,400) – Arizona State RB Demario Richard may be priced as the sixth highest running back in this slate, but he could have the best night of anyone. Richard averaged 16 or more touches every single game, and the Sun Devils are facing the 80th-ranked defense in the country. Sounds like a recipe for success.
Jeremy McNichols – ($7,600) – Boise State RB Jeremy McNichols continues to produce at a ridiculously effective rate. McNichols has scored 12 overall touchdowns in 2015, which leads the nation. The Broncos go on to face a mediocre Colorado State rush defense that surrenders nearly 200 rushing yards per game. You do the math.
Other recommendations: Tyler Ervin ($8,300)
LJ Scott vs Rutgers – ($5,200) – Michigan State RB LJ Scott has begun to carry the majority of the load for the Spartans. The freshman tailback shares carries with Madre London, but has produced at a higher level than London. There aren’t many great value options at running back in this slate so sprinkle in some Spartans.
Josh Doctson vs Kansas State – ($7,600) – If you can manage to squeeze in Doctson and QB Trevone Boykin, by all means do it. Doctson has been immaculate in his last three games, with 30 total catches for 567 yards and seven touchdowns. That’s right, seven touchdowns! Doctson and Boykin should continue to stay hot this week against Kansas State.
Rashard Higgins vs Boise State – ($7,400) – The junior receiver for Colorado State enters week six as the Mountain West’s best receiving option with 30 receptions for 426 yards and 4 TDs. Colorado State should be trailing most of this game, which bodes well for Higgins through the air.
Kenny Lawler vs Utah – ($6,200) – I like pairing QB Jared Goff with his number one target in WR Kenny Lawler. As I mentioned earlier, Utah’s pass defense is pedestrian ranking 54th in the nation. Lawler and the Cal should find their holes and score some points. Look for Lawler to put on a decent showing.
Aaron Burbridge vs Rutgers – ($5,500) – Michigan State WR Aaron Burbridge exploded on the scene in 2015, averaging 30 fantasy points through the first three games. Although he’s cooled off a bit lately, Burbridge still remains QB Connor Cook’s favorite target and should continue to see numerous targets. Can’t pass this guy up with this pricing.
Shelton Gibson vs Oklahoma State – ($4,500) – Gibson and West Virginia came back down to the earth last week against Oklahoma. Despite this slow performance, Gibson remains QB Skyler Howard’s favorite target and will definitely find relative success this week against Oklahoma State.
You may not have much salary left when looking at your FLEX position, so it’s important to find those players that are low-priced yet in a good position to put up decent fantasy numbers. Here are a few sleepers that may fit this mold:
Kolby Listenbee vs Kansas State – ($3,600) – TCU WR Kolby Listenbee has been dealing with nagging injuries all year. Welp, folks, he’s back and a scary option when he’s healthy. For this price, I love Listenbee in one of the nation’s highest-scoring offenses.
Jovan Durante vs Oklahoma State – ($3,700) – Jovan Durante continues to be priced extremely low considering he’s produced at a decent level this year. I like pairing him up with QB Skyler Howard, especially if you splurged at another position.
