Harbaugh’s Debut Spoiled by Utah
-Michigan offensive players averaged just 7.81 fantasy points per player on Thursday night as they put up only 17 points against the Utes.
-There were a few bright spots for Michigan though. Amara Darboh was in the DraftKings perfect lineup after posting 27.1 fantasy points and TE Jake Butt had a huge night with 23.3 fantasy points of his own. Both were in the Top 15 in fantasy points scored on Thursday Night.
Western Kentucky Disappoints against Vanderbilt
-A trio of WKU players were very popular on Thursday night and they all netted under 10 fantasy points.
-QB Brandon Doughty was priced at $9K on Thursday and had just 9 fantasy points despite being over 30% owned on DraftKings.
-WRs Taywan Taylor and Antwane Grant were both over 25% owned and finished with a combined 14.9 fantasy points.
Idaho Players were Key to Winning on Opening Night
-Two Idaho Players (WR Dezmon Epps and RB Elijhaa Penny) were in the top 3 highest owned players on winning lineups.
-Idaho players were, on average, 16.63% owned on DraftKings winning lineups on Thursday night.-Idaho was tied as the 2nd most inexpensive team on average last night at just $3400 per player (only including players who registered more than 0 fantasy points).
CFB PERFECT LINEUP
-On Opening Night of the College Football season, the Perfect Lineup was a mixture of popular stars and under-the-radar options.
-QB Blake Bogenschutz was a huge surprise. At just 0.4% owned he netted the most fantasy points of any quarterback on Thursday night against an Arizona defense that was expected to be one of the best in the nation.
-There’s no more tight end position for DraftKings CFB contests this year but that didn’t stop David Morgan II from UTSA from finding his way into the Perfect Lineup. His 28.9 fantasy points earned him a spot in the FLEX.
-No player in the Perfect Lineup scored under 25 fantasy points on Thursday Night.
TOP 20 FANTASY POINT SCORERS
-Florida International was the highest scoring team on average on Thursday night. FIU players averaged 11.73 fantasy points against UCF but only had 1 player in the top 20 fantasy scorers (Alex Gardner with 24.9 FPs)
-The University of Ohio was a close 2nd in fantasy points scored per player. They averaged 11.62 FP/player on Thursday and also only had 1 player in the Top 20 fantasy point scorers (Brendan Cope with 25.9 FPs)
-Tulane was the worst team for fantasy point scoring on Thursday night. They averaged a mere 5.44 fantasy points per player but had as many players in the Top 20 scorers as each of the top 2 scoring teams (1 player – Devon Breaux with 19.2 fantasy points)
-UTSA was an absolute shock on Thursday. Two of their players were in the top 5 scorers.
TOP 20 HIGHEST OWNED PLAYERS
-The surprise of the night continues to be UTSA. As noted above, they had two players in the top 5 fantasy scorers despite being far and away the lowest owned team of the night on average. UTSA players averaged just 0.52% owned on DraftKings lineups.
-The highest owned team last night was Idaho at 12.9% owned per player. They finished the night as the 5th highest scoring team on average as well.
-No team other than Idaho was more than 9% owned on average. The second highest behind Idaho was Arizona at 8.14% owned on average.
