Friday night brings us a 9 game slate to deal with and half of the teams playing tonight are projected to score 75+ points. Let’s take a look at who we should be considering!
Isaiah Whitehead – Seton Hall vs Xavier – $8,900 –Whitehead has been an absolute beast over the last few weeks as he put up yet another 50+ fantasy point performance yesterday against Creighton. The match-up this evening is a bit tougher, however he did go for 41 the last time these two teams met. With the way he is playing, I do NOT want to bet against him continuing his 40+ fantasy point performances.
J.J. Frazier – Georgia vs South Carolina – $8,200 –Frazier has gone for 37+ fantasy points in five straight games for the Bulldogs and faces a South Carolina team that he put 79.25 fantasy points up against in their two meetings so far this season. Georgia gets a slight boost in this game tempo wise and this game is expected to be extremely close. Georgia lacks any real go-to options on offense so they are going to continue to rely on Frazier taking 15-20 shots a game.
Joel Berry II – UNC vs Notre Dame – $6,900 –Berry gave us a 32 fantasy point game yesterday and should be able to duplicate it tonight against a Notre Dame team that can be beaten by guards. This game is expected to be the highest scoring of the slate and Berry is just too cheap for what he offers us.
Other Options –Buddy Hield ($10,100), Tyler Ulis ($9,700), Malcolm Brogdon ($7,900), Sindarius Thornwell ($7,600), Myles Davis ($6,400)
Allonzo Trier – Arizona vs Oregon – $5,800 –I bet you are surprised to see Trier listed as a value play, right? I am sick of having to write him here as his price needs to go up as he is a $7,000+ player. He is coming off of a 31.5 fantasy point performance yesterday and now gets to take on a fast paced Oregon team that he wasn’t able to play against earlier this season due to his injury.
“Virginia has one of the top defenses in the country, however Reed just does not care as he put up 45.5 fantasy points against them in two games this season”
Davon Reed – Miami vs Virginia – $5,400 –Reed is much like Trier in that he is always in this section because his price never seems to change. Virginia has one of the top defenses in the country, however Reed just does not care as he put up 45.5 fantasy points against them in two games this season and the last game, he went for 26.25 while scoring 20 game points.
Other Options –Tarik Phillip ($5,400), Kadeem Allen ($5,100), Duane Notice ($5,000), Riley Norris ($4,800)
Zach Auguste – Notre Dame vs UNC – $8,800 –While I really like Brice Johnson, I think Auguste offers us the same upside in this game at $1300 cheaper. Auguste put up a monster performance against a weak Duke interior and while the match-up is quite a bit tougher tonight, Auguste did go for 36.5 fantasy points the first time these two met. This game has the highest projected total by far.
Taurean Prince – Baylor vs Kansas – $8,100 –Prince has gone for 37+ fantasy points in three out of his last four games and is coming off of a 51 fantasy point performance yesterday against a tough Texas squad. This game is a tough match-up for Prince but at this time of the year I find it very hard to bet against Seniors who are trying to make a run.
Desi Rodriguez – Seton Hall vs Xavier – $6,800 –Rodriguez absolutely destroyed Xavier this year as he put up 85.5 fantasy points in two games against them. He went for 50 the last time these two teams met, less than two weeks ago. Seton Hall is expected to keep this game extremely close and could pull off the upset here as they are expected to put up 75+ points tonight.
Other Options –Brice Johnson ($10,100), Ryan Anderson ($8,300), Yante Maten ($8,000), Elgin Cook ($7,500), Bonzie Colson ($6,500)
Khadeem Lattin – Oklahoma vs West Virginia – $5,500 –Lattin was one of my favorites early in the season and has really fallen off for the most part. He had a couple of really strong games against WVU this season as he has put up 66.25 fantasy points in those two games. He is an extremely volatile GPP option but one that could certainly pay off due to his blocks and steals upside.
Mindaugas Kacinas – South Carolina vs Georgia – $5,200 –Kacina has played pretty solidly recently and has seen his minutes rise over the last month or so. He put up 46.25 fantasy points in two games against UGA this season and has gone for 52.25 over his last two games played.
“[Labissiere] should be able to get us 25+ fantasy points as he is coming off of a monster 43.25 fantasy point performance in his last game”
Skal Labissiere – Kentucky vs Alabama – $4,400 –Skal is going to be a very popular punt play tonight as he has really broken out recently. While we know the talent is there, we do have to be afraid of foul issues since that’s been his Achilles heel. If Skal avoids foul trouble in this one, he should be able to get us 25+ fantasy points as he is coming off of a monster 43.25 fantasy point performance in his last game.
Other Options –Marcus Lee ($5,900), Isaiah Hicks ($4,700), Donta Hall ($4,400)
