Today’s early slate brings us 12 beautiful games to work with as the Major conferences are now under way with their end of the season conference tournaments.  We have a ton of teams battling their way to and off of the bubble as they try to get a spot in the Field of 68.  Let’s take a look at who we should be considering for the early slate and, as always, hit me up on Twitter (@Razzle11Grinds) with any questions you might have!

Studs

Brandon Ingram – Duke vs Notre Dame – $9,000 – Ingram went for 41.25 fantasy points against NC State on Wednesday and now gets to face a Notre Dame team that he went for 40 against in their only match-up this season.  This game is expected to be the second highest scoring game of the slate and Duke should end up about the third highest scoring team of the slate. Ingram offers a $600 savings from Grayson Allen and while Ingram has struggled recently, I think he is in a great position to bust out out in this one.

“[Demetrius] Jackson went for 33.5 fantasy points the first time these two teams met.”

Demetrius Jackson – Notre Dame vs Duke – $7,900 – I mentioned above how this game should end up the second highest scoring of the slate and to me, this game represents what could end up being the most exciting game of the slate as well.  Jackson went for 33.5 fantasy points the first time these two teams met.  He did not contribute much for peripherals in that game as he scored 24 game points, so I think he has a chance to increase his output.

Wade Baldwin IV – Vanderbilt vs Tennessee – $7,800 – Baldwin has gone for 40 and 42 fantasy points in the two games against Tennessee and I do not see a reason why he doesn’t go for 40+ again in this one.  Vandy is projected to put up as many points as Duke is today and I actually think I like their match-up better in terms of fantasy production goes.

Joel Berry II – UNC vs Pittsburgh – $6,900 – UNC is expected to be the second highest scoring team of the slate as they should pass the 80 point mark in this one.  Berry has been up and down lately as he has struggled a bit with his shot but he recently put up an impressive 38.75 points against a VERY tough Virginia team and he put up 33.5 fantasy points the first time these two teams met.

Other Options – Andrew Andrews ($10,000), Malcolm Hill ($8,600), Josh Hart ($8,000), Justin Edwards ($7,300), Tre Demps ($6,900), Justin Jackson ($6,800), Luke Kennard ($6,400), Peter Jok ($6,300)

Values

Kyron Cartwright – Providence vs Butler – $5,300 – Cartwright has been a solid play for a couple of weeks now and I think that continues in this game for Providence.  Providence is a slight underdog but the spread is pretty tight and there is always the chance we get OT.  Cartwright has gone for 23+ fantasy points in four straight games and six out of his last nine games.

KeVaughn Allen – Florida vs Arkansas – $5,100 – Allen is still struggling from the field, however he has bounced back slightly over the last couple of games and has put up 48.5 fantasy points over his last two games while taking 28 total shots.  Florida is expected to put up 75+ points in this game and I think Allen is going to continue to shoot it and he’s too good of a shooter to stay as cold as he’s been in recent weeks.

Chris Chiozza – Florida vs Arkansas – $4,900 – It is extremely rare that I do this, however I think Chiozza is in a great spot as well for the Gators.  Chiozza is coming off of a 44.75 fantasy point performance and while it might be considered chasing, we have to realize that he put up 35.5 fantasy points the first time these two teams met.  I think Chiozza is going to be more popular than Allen as he has the better form recently and the cheaper price tag.

Other Options – Allonzo Trier ($5,700), Shembari Phillips ($5,400), Matthew Fisher-Davis ($5,000), Jalen Lindsay ($4,000), Cameron Johnson ($3,600)

Studs

Ben Bentil – Providence vs Butler – $9,800 – Bentil has gone for 46.5+ fantasy points in four straight games and five out of the last seven for Providence.  Bentil has been an absolute beast this season and as much as I love Brice Johnson, I just do not know how you can pay $400 more for him than for Bentil today.  I think you can lock Bentil into your cash games and he should be pretty popular in GPPs for the guys that are paying up for somebody.

“…he has gone for 95.25 fantasy points over the last two games as he tries to put Iowa on his back heading into March Madness.”

Jarrod Uthoff – Iowa vs Illinois – $9,200 – Uthoff went for 42 fantasy points the last time these two teams met and he has gone for 95.25 fantasy points over the last two games as he tries to put Iowa on his back heading into March Madness. You know I love big men against Illinois as they lack the type of defender that is going to be able to contain Uthoff in this one.  Iowa has a similar team total to Duke and Vanderbilt and is among the highest projected teams on the day.

Dorian Finney-Smith – Florida vs Arkansas – $7,800 – You are going to see a decent number of Gators in this article as they are in a great spot and they have a bunch of value.  Finney-Smith does not fall into the value section, however he put up 37.25 fantasy points the first time these two teams met and with Egbunu expected to miss this game, Finney-Smith is going to be needed on the boards even more.

Elgin Cook – Oregon vs Washington – $7,500 – Cook has been Oregon’s best player down the stretch as he has gone for 32.5+ fantasy points in four straight games and Oregon is projected to put up the most points on the slate today. Washington is an uptempo team and that pace of play should lead to increased opportunities for Cook and the rest of the Oregon Ducks. Cook put up 38.75 fantasy points the first time these two teams met.

Other Options – Brice Johnson ($10,200), Moses Kingsley ($9,400), Zach Auguste ($8,500), Kelan Martin ($8,000), Damian Jones ($7,600), Marshall Plumlee ($7,000), Luke Kornet ($6,900), Alex Olah ($6,300), Adam Woodbury ($6,100)

Values

Jeff Roberson – Vanderbilt vs Tennessee – $5,600 – Roberson has put up 54 fantasy points in the two games against Tennessee this season and he has gone for 26+ fantasy points in three of his last four games.  I really like Vanderbilt today and I think you can get exposure to two or three of them and be in a great spot.

Malik Dime – Washington vs Oregon – $5,100 – Dime is a GPP play today as he offers us a pretty nice ceiling, but he also comes with a lot of risk thanks to inconsistency and his penchant to commit fouls at a ridiculous rate.  That’s the M.O. for Washington as they foul a TON.  Dime put up 32.5 fantasy points on Tuesday and looked extremely solid out on the floor in a game that was over well before half-time.

Mark Donnal – Michigan vs Northwestern – $4,200 – Donnal has been a popular value play for awhile as he is extremely cheap and offers a 40+ fantasy point upside.  Donnal went for 24 fantasy points his last time out and had a ceiling 42.25 DK points in a game just two weeks ago.  Michigan is expected to win a close one and they are going to need Donnal’s size on the court for 30+ minutes in order to do so.

Other Options – D.J. Johnson ($5,600), Devin Robinson ($5,000), Admiral Schofield ($5,000), Ryan Luther ($4,500), Michael Finke ($4,000), Justin Leon ($3,600)
