Welcome to Tuesday as we get our normal sized slate with a bunch of power conference match-ups highlighted by the hammer between LSU and Texas A&M.  Most of the games fall between 135 and 150 points, which will make it interesting to see how people put together their lineups as nearly every game is very similar.  It has been an exciting season so far with a ton of top-25 upsets, what kind of crazy stuff can happen tonight?  Hit me up on twitter (@Razzle11Grinds) with any questions you may have!

Studs

Stefan Moody ($9,000) – This game is expected to stay extremely close and if Mississippi wants to pull off the upset they are going to need Moody to take over this game.  He is basically their entire offense as he is not afraid to put up shots from all over the court.  He has taken 50 shots, with 29 of those coming from three and 37 free throws over the last three games and offers us a 50+ fantasy point upside.

Yogi Ferrell ($8,400) – Yogi is generally somebody that I over look in my write-ups as I generally find him to be to high priced.  His price has been higher than this at some points this season and in a normal match-up I would probably avoid, however the Hoosiers are expected to score the most points tonight while playing in the game with the highest total.  He is coming off of a 44.5 fantasy point performance and is capable of getting us 50+ in this game.

Trevon Bluiett ($7,700) – Generally we try to stay away from teams playing Georgetown as they have some big bodies and generally try to slow it down, however Xavier is expected to be one of the highest scoring teams of the night and Bluiett has put up 31+ in four straight and five out of his last six games. He has the ability to put up 50 at any time and is not afraid to let it fly from all over the court.

Sindarius Thornwell ($7,400) – I feel like Thornwell is a steal at this price with the way he has been playing recently, minus two games ago when he struggled mightily as SC was blown out by Alabama. If you take that game out Thornwell has gone for 42.25, 33.5, 42 and 37.5 in the other four January games. As I said under Moody, this game is expected to be extremely close, while also being the third highest projected game total of the night.

Other Options – Anthony Barber ($8,700), Malcolm Hill ($8,300), Jalen Jones ($7,300), Danuel House ($7,200), Alex Caruso ($6,500), Edmond Sumner ($6,400)

Values

KeVaughn Allen ($5,300) – Allen is coming off of a 40.5 fantasy point performance and while I do not expect to see that again, I do think he should be able to get us 25+ in this game which will pay off his price tag.  Florida is expected to put up around 75 points in this game which is around the top 6 or 7 point totals of the night.  Mississippi St has allowed their opponents to put up 80+ in each of the last three games.

Rasheed Brooks ($5,300) – If I am not using Moody in a lineup, I most likely will have Brooks as he has played extremely well over the last three games as he has put up 91.5 fantasy points, while playing nearly 37 minutes a game.  As I said earlier, this game is expected to be extremely close and should play to a total in the 150’s which is one of the top games to choose from on the night.

J.P. Macura ($4,500) – Macura is definitely a GPP play as he can disappear for large stretches, however he has nearly a 30 fantasy point upside which is something we want out of a player at this price point.  Xavier is expected to win this game by double digits, while putting up nearly 80 points.  He offers us a single digit floor which is really tough to stomach, however there just is not a ton of value at the guard position tonight.

Other Options – Rasheed Sulaimon ($5,800), Shake Milton ($5,500), Quinndary Weatherspoon ($5,200), Malik Newman ($5,100), Jalyn Patterson ($4,500)

Forward

Studs

Ben Simmons ($11,200) – I really wanted to just add Simmons to the other options, however it is just so tough to make the decision to completely fade a guy like this.  His upside is ridiculous but he has experienced some foul issues recently which has really kept him from approaching value.  I expect this game to be a lot of fun to watch and I certainly am going to have a decent amount of exposure to it, I just do not know if I want to pay $11.2K for Simmons.

Dorian Finney-Smith ($7,600) – DFS has double-doubles in three of his last four games with those three games having fantasy point totals of 37, 37 and 40.25.  I definitely like Allen from Florida a bit more, however I think DFS has the type of game that will excel in this match-up.  The only thing that really scares me is the fact that he is not very assertive on the offensive end, which can lead to him putting up totals in the teens.

Craig Victor II ($7,400) – I think Victor is my favorite LSU option in this game as Texas A&M will probably be without one of their big men, Trocha-Morelos, as he was arrested on suspicion of DUI over the weekend.  Victor is coming off of a 40.5 fantasy point performance and seems to becoming more aggressive on the offensive end as he is an extremely talented big man who is capable of stepping out to around 18 feet when left open.

Abdul Malik-Abu ($6,800) – Abu has three big double-doubles over his last 4 games and if you eliminate the game against WF where he was in foul trouble and barely played, he has put up 113.75 fantasy points in those three double-doubles.  I do not necessary love this game as a fantasy target, however somebody is going to have to do some damage for NC State and I think there is a good chance that person is Abu in this one.  He is playing extremely well and I think you can find worse GPP plays.

Other Options – Gavin Ware ($8,000), Sebastian Saiz ($7,900), Jordan Tolbert ($7,600), Jamel Artis ($7,300), Diamond Stone ($6,700), Thomas Bryant ($6,400)

Editor’s Note: Sebastian Saiz had surgery, and he has been ruled out for tonight.

Values

Jessie Govan ($4,700) – As a GPP play, Govan makes sense as he is capable of putting up 30 fantasy points for us, while being just $4.7K.  The match-up is pretty tough, so he isn’t going to be somebody I get a ton of exposure to.  He is generally a very proficient player and shoots the ball very well from the field, which is why the last game was a bit odd as he went 1 for 7.  He still managed to put up 17 fantasy points, so that is a good sign considering his awful shooting night.

Cheick Diallo ($4,300) – We have been waiting to see Diallo unleashed for the Jayhawks and we got to see what he is capable of doing the last game as he went for 30.3 fantasy points in just 21 minutes of action.  We can’t be sure on what kind of minutes he is going to get, however I do not see him returning to just a couple of minutes after that performance.  Diallo was a big time recruit and may finally be finding his way for Kansas.

Danrad Knowles ($3,800) – Knowles is definitely a GPP only play as he just doesn’t seem to be a big part of the Houston offense this season which is a bit puzzling, however he still offers us 30+ fantasy point upside and may be needed a bit more in this one as Houston tries to deal with the likes of Kennedy, Tolbert and Moore.

Justin Leon ($3,800) – Leon seemed to be on the verge of a big fantasy breakout after he had gone for 49.25 fantasy points over two games, however he took a small step back as he put up just 11.75 fantasy points against Ole Miss.  He was extremely popular for that game and he may be really unpopular tonight, which could make him an intriguing GPP option.  He had worked his way into the starting lineup for the Gators so we know the coaching staff thinks highly of him.

Other Options – Michael Finke ($4,800), O.G. Anunoby ($4,200), Reggie Cameron ($4,100), D.J. Hogg ($3,800), Kaiser Gates ($3,400), Carlton Bragg Jr. ($3,200)
