The big game is upon us and while we get ready for it we have a nice little 6 game slate to work with for our CBB DFS pleasure.  We get a couple of teams that we haven’t had much exposure to so far this season so that is always a plus as it allows us to learn more.  I think the key today is getting the right Guard combination down as the Forwards seem pretty cut and dry.  Let’s take a look at who we should be considering and as always, hit me up on twitter (@Razzle11Grinds)!

Guard

Studs

Daniel Hamilton ($8,500) – Hamilton busted out of his extended slump with a 45.75 fantasy point performance Thursday against Memphis and now gets to follow that up with a softer match-up as UCONN takes on ECU.  Hamilton has shown in the past that he is able to get extremely hot, fantasy-wise, and is capable of putting up triple-double type performances over and over.

James Woodard ($7,700) – I feel pretty strongly that one of the two studs from Tulsa is going to have a game in this one and I lean Woodard because he his cheaper and he is willing to fire up double digit threes and he is always a threat to get extremely hot.

Damyean Dotson ($6,200) – I really like Dotson as a fantasy target because of his ability to get involved on the glass while taking double digit shot attempts and showing the ability to knock down free throws.  I expect Houston to hang in this game and Dotson is going to be one of the main reasons why.

Other Options – Malcolm Hill ($8,500), Shaquille Harrison ($8,100), Nic Moore ($7,600), Angel Rodriguez ($6,900), B.J. Tyson ($6,900), Sterling Brown ($6,200)

Values

Adam Smith ($5,400) – Adam Smith has been one of my favorite value plays basically all season long as his price just doesn’t seem to go anywhere.  He puts up a ton of shots which is a huge thing for fantasy purposes as he gives himself the chance to put up a ridiculous total.  He has had games where he has approached 20 shot attempts from the field and 15 shot attempts from beyond the arc.

Galen Robinson Jr. ($5,200) – Robinson is nearly a must play if Gray is out for this game as well, unfortunately we may not know his status until tip.  With that said, Robinson is still a GPP play even if Gray plays.  Robinson went for 28.75 fantasy points the last time these two teams met and I can see him approaching 30 in the right situation.

Pat Birt ($4,900) – It’s safe to assume that I am going to be nearly fully committing to Birt as he has been a big time surprise for Tulsa.  He gets it up from three at a high rate, is coming off of a 37 fantasy point performance and recently put up 25.75 fantasy points against Houston.  I know it’s scary to fully commit to shooters, however I just can not ignore the way he is playing at this price point.

Other Options – Jahmal McMurray ($5,500), Anthony Clemmons ($5,400), Jalen Adams ($4,800)

Forward

Studs

Jarrod Uthoff ($8,900) – I am definitely going to use Uthoff some as Illinois has a pretty weak interior and Uthoff could certainly dominate them.  Thankfully this is a road game for Uthoff because I would expect Iowa to blow them out at home and then we would have a cut in Uthoff’s minutes.  I am definitely not putting him on every roster to him but I certainly will have him in places.

Tonye Jekiri ($6,900) – I love the match-up for Jekiri as he should be able to own the paint in this one as GT really lacks a body to bang down low and fight him for the boards.  Because of this, we may see Jekiri get a few more offensive put backs which can build a stat line pretty quickly.

Devonta Pollard ($6,400) – I definitely was burned by having zero exposure to Pollard the last time out as he stepped up big and went for 38.25 fantasy points.  He recently faced this Tulsa team and went for 31.5 fantasy points so we know the match-up is a positive one for him.

Other Options – Chris Boucher ($8,000), Dillon Brooks ($7,900), Kyle Kuzma ($6,100)

Values

Nick Jacobs ($5,900) – Jacobs has arguably been GT’s best player over the last month and has gotten to be extremely consistent as he should put up 25+ fantasy points in this game while taking 13-15 shots and grabbing 7+ rebounds.  He does offer us double-double upside.

Jaleel Cousins ($5,900) – I didn’t want to give you guys another guy at the same price as Jacobs however I felt like I needed to point out Cousins’ upside.  He has basically shown us 50 fantasy point upside, but he has also shown us a single digit floor thanks to his ability to rack up fouls in a hurry.  I think you have to have Cousins somewhere in a GPP as he could explode.  He is coming off of a very tough match-up against Cincy but still managed a 10 and 10 double-double in just 19 minutes.

Amida Brimah ($3,000) – I am going to stick with Brimah here as he definitely should not be sitting at min price, even if he his still trying to come back from injury.  He found himself in some stupid foul trouble the last time out but showed a few explosive plays in the game that reminded us of what he is capable of doing.  I won’t be rostering him everywhere on him like I was, but I definitely will have shares.

Other Options – Adam Woodbury ($5,900), Angel Nunez ($5,000), Dwayne Benjamin ($4,600), Michael Zangari ($4,200), Bo Zeigler ($4,100), Ruben Guerrero ($3,700)
