I hope everybody’s morning lineups are treating them well as we get an 8 game slate to work with for our Afternoon contests. This slate as a bit more scoring predicted so we will definitely want to get pieces of a couple of games. With that said, let’s take a look at who we should be considering and as always, hit me up on Twitter (@Razzle11Grinds) with any questions you may have!
Tyler Ulis ($9,200) – Ulis continues to find himself in this spot as he has really grown into a very good CBB player and I say this after he put up a dud relative to his price in the last game. He went for 29 against a weak Tennessee team, but that was due to struggle with his shot. I think we see Ulis get back on the double-double wagon in this one.
Justin Edwards ($7,300) – Edwards has gone for 74.25 fantasy points over the last two games and I think he will be extremely low owned in this one and could certainly pay off with how well he has been playing. He struggled mightily the last time these two teams met, but I think he bounces back from that performance to get us 28+ at home this afternoon.
Jalen Jones ($7,100) – I think this match-up fits Jones as he should be able to attack Willis and get him into foul trouble. I could see Jones getting to the line 12+ times in this game thanks to his style of play and the lack of defensive discipline of the Kentucky bigs. Jones was one of the most consistent players out there until recently and I think he finds his way back to being the consistent star that he is.
Seth Allen ($6,100) – Allen has been pretty bad recently, but that just means he is going to explode at some point with a monster game. The worry is that he is going to lose minutes to Clarke and while that is a legit worry, I think his shooting is so streaky that if he ends up getting hot, he is going to see all the minutes he is able to handle. This game is expected to be one of the highest scoring of the slate.
Other Options – Buddy Hield ($9,900), Daniel Hamilton ($8,600), Jamal Murray ($8,400), Dwayne Bacon ($7,200), Wesley Iwundu ($6,900)
Devon Bookert ($5,800) – Bookert has been the best player on FSU recently as it appears Beasley and Bacon have hit some sort of a wall at this point. Florida St is going to be one of the highest scoring teams of the afternoon and I definitely want a piece of them today.
Bryce Brown ($5,400) – Brown is starting to develop as he steps in for Dunans and Canty. Brown is coming off of a 9 three point performance in which he put up 32 fantasy points. We get a big price jump for Brown and while that is frustrating, I think he is still very much worth a GPP lineup spot thanks to his three point shooting.
Chris Clarke ($5,200) – Clarke is getting into shape as he saw his minutes jump up the last game and I could see him getting another increase in this one. Clarke has played 37 minutes since his return and has managed to put up 37.25 fantasy points in those minutes.
Other Options – Tarik Phillip ($5,200), Antonio Blakeney ($5,200), Cody Martin ($5,000), TJ Lang ($4,900), Justin Robinson ($4,200)
Ben Simmons ($11,500) – Simmons’ price is up there, but that makes him an interesting GPP play as LSU is expected to be the second highest scoring team of the slate and very well could end up being the highest scoring team. I think I am going to look to spend elsewhere, however Simmons is such a star player that he can go for a 70+ fantasy point performance basically any time he takes the floor.
Armani Moore ($8,400) – Moore is coming off of a 43.25 fantasy point performance against a tough Kentucky squad and now faces an LSU team that likes to play a little faster and definitely does not have the same size that Kentucky does.
Jonathan Holton ($6,700) – Holton has been pretty solid since his return from his suspension and while the match-up is a bit tougher, I think WVU’s in a solid spot as they get to take on a faster Oklahoma team at home. Holton got into some foul trouble the last time these two teams met and I think he is in a great spot to get us 25+ in this one.
Other Options – Jaron Blossomgame ($8,400), Cinmeon Bowers ($8,200), Gary Clark ($7,800), Derek Willis ($6,400), Octavius Ellis ($6,200)
Tomasz Gielo ($5,600) – Gielo has really exploded over the last month or so for Ole Miss and he has a very juicy match-up as Auburn plays pretty terrible interior defense. Gielo has gone for 25+ points in five straight games and this afternoon will definitely become #6.
Landen Lucas ($5,500) – Lucas seems to have figured something out and has taken control of the 5 spot for Kansas. Lucas has gone for 88 fantasy points over the last three games and KSU really lacks any kind of size in the paint. Lucas is always a threat to get into foul trouble, however I just cannot ignore the way he has been playing.
Boris Bojanovsky ($4,800) – Boris should control the boards when he is on the court as VT lacks anybody that should be able to battle with him on the glass. Boris has gone for 25+ in three out of his last five games. With Florida St expected to be one of the highest scoring teams of the slate, I would expect Boris to have his hand in some offensive put backs.
Skal Labissiere ($4,200) – I probably shouldn’t be writing his name here, however there is a chance that he is going to have to see the court for a larger amount of minutes than usual as it seems like Poythress will still be out and now Marcus Lee is questionable with a back injury. Should both guys miss this game, I could see Skal getting 20-22 minutes and he should be able to get us some points if that is the case.
Other Options – Dean Wade ($5,200), D.J. Johnson ($4,800), Marcanvis Hymon ($4,700), Isaac Humphries ($3,800)
