Welcome to Thursday as we get 8 games to work with tonight. We get our usual exposure to a few Pac-12 games to go along with a couple of Big Ten match-ups and American conference games. Overall, the night is going to be lower scoring than some of the slates we have gotten used to recently, however there are a few games that will definitely be faster paced. Let’s take a look at who we should be targeting and as always, hit me up on Twitter (@Razzle11Grinds) with any questions you might have!
Denzel Valentine ($10,800) – Valentine is making a run at Hield for Player of the Year at this point as he has gone for 124.25 fantasy points over his last two games and he put up 44.75 against Wisconsin earlier this season. Valentine is basically going to play the entire game for the Spartans and should be a pretty safe bet to get us 40+.
Tyler Ulis ($9,100) – Ulis is coming off of a ridiculous 52 fantasy point performance on the road and now gets to take on a Tennessee team that beat Kentucky the last time they played. I expect a different outcome in the game tonight as Kentucky should finish as the highest scoring team on the night.
Troy Caupain ($6,800) – I am sure you guys have realized by now that I am a big fan of Caupain as he continues to put up solid stat lines each night he takes the floor. Caupain is going to take double digit shot attempts and put up 12+ assists plus rebounds and add in a handful of defensive stats and then three pointers. This price point is just too cheap for Caupain.
Other Options – Daniel Hamilton ($8,600), Jamal Murray ($8,200), James Woodard ($7,200), Nate Mason ($6,700), Rasheed Sulaimon ($6,300)
Pat Birt ($5,900) – Birt’s price is starting to climb quite a bit and he is going to no longer be an auto play at some point. I think the match-up is less than ideal tonight, however I just can not ignore the way he has been playing and putting up 28+ fantasy points. I had been going all-in with Birt but I may cut back tonight as the match-up is difficult enough to concern me. I certainly will have my fair share of Birt.
Jonah Bolden ($5,000) – Bolden is really a big man but for some reason we are able to use him as a guard. Bolden has gone for 60.75 fantasy points over the last two games as he has played 60 minutes over those two games. It will be interesting to see if Bolden continues to play big time minutes for UCLA as they battle their way to the bubble.
Dupree McBrayer ($4,700) – McBrayer is right around where he should be at as far as pricing goes, he maybe should see a $5-5200 price tag. McBrayer is coming off of a 21 fantasy point performance in a game that he started out hot in and cooled off as the game went on. McBrayer has the ability to get us 30+ fantasy points and while the match-up is pretty tough, I think McBrayer’s minutes are safe no matter what.
Other Options – Jabari Bird ($5,800), Jalen Adams ($4,500), Kevin Johnson ($4,100), Kevin Dorsey ($4,000)
Gary Clark ($7,800) – I really like the match-up for Clark as he dominated the boards against Tulsa the last time these two teams met. Clark has gone for 38+ fantasy points in 4 straight games and tonight will definitely make 5 straight. This game is projected to be close so there is always the idea of it heading to overtime.
Matt Costello ($7,600) – As a Badger fan, this is the one match-up that worries me as he is coming off of a 44.25 fantasy point performance and the last time these two teams played, Costello went for 35.75 fantasy points. Costello is a high energy guy and with the home crowd behind him I could see him exploding for another 35+ fantasy point performance.
Marquese Chriss ($7,400) – Chriss has been one of my favorite plays over the last few weeks as he continues to grow as a CBB player and is showing us a pretty impressive future. He is coming off of a 45 fantasy point performance and has gone for 115.5 fantasy points over his last three games. This game is expected to be the highest scoring game of the night and it also happens to be our late night hammer.
Other Options – Armani Moore ($8,100), Jaylen Brown ($7,900), Rosco Allen ($7,500), Jake Layman ($6,800), Octavius Ellis ($6,400)
Jordan Loveridge ($5,800) – Loveridge has gone for 90.75 fantasy points over his last three games and seems to really be stepping up for Utah at this point in the season. UCLA is going to struggle with the size and athleticism of Utah in this one. I am going to continue to be on Loveridge as long as he sits under $6K.
Vitto Brown ($5,000) – Brown has really turned his season around as at one point it looked like he was going to be losing his spot in the lineup along with most of his minutes. Credit him for working hard to turn it around as he has been Wisconsin’s best player the last two games. Brown has gone for 64 fantasy points over his last two games.
Damonte Dodd ($4,200) – Unless we can get verification as to what kind of rotation that Maryland is going to use, I would assume that Dodd is in a spot to see some increased minutes with Diamond Stone being suspended for the game. Dodd has shown some ability throughout his time with Maryland and I think he could certainly find his way into 18+ fantasy points in this match-up.
Other Options – Derek Willis ($5,900), Malik Dime ($5,200), Noah Dickerson ($4,500)
