IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE REGARDING CONTEST RULES OF DRAFTKINGS
IMPORTANT! PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THESE CONTEST RULES (hereinafter, "Contest Rules") BEFORE ENTERING THE KING OF THE HILL AS THESE RULES AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS.
CONTEST SCHEDULING
Contests relating to the King of the Hill (hereinafter, "KotH"), are subject to run any week that DraftKings’ offers fantasy golf contests on site.
All scheduling remains at the full discretion of DraftKings.
WINNER RESPONSIBILITY
Winners of the qualifiers into the KotH and of the head-to-head KotH contests will be automatically entered in the next day’s contest via the auto-redemption feature. It is the sole responsibility of the winners to find the contest in the ‘My Contest’ section and draft their lineup for the next contest. Under no circumstance will a player receive compensation or an option for a rematch for an undrafted lineup.
If the reigning King enters a Qualifier on the same day as their head to head matchup and wins both the qualifier and their head to head matchup they will face themselves and automatically advance another day, this win WILL NOT count towards any streaks or the end of season win totals. If the King loses their head to head match and wins their qualifier they will face the new king as the contender and begin a new streak.
TIE-BREAKERS
If two or more DraftKings Players tie in a qualifier to the KotH, the winner will be the DraftKings Player with the higher single-player fantasy points result for each drafted player in the lineup. For example, if DraftKings Player A and DraftKings Player B tied in a KotH qualifier, and Player A's highest fantasy point scoring player was Bubba Watson with 130 fantasy points, and Player B's highest fantasy point scoring player was Jordan Spieth with 115 fantasy points, then Player A would be judged the winner. In the event that two or more teams have the same highest fantasy point scoring player, the same process will proceed down to the next highest fantasy point scoring player in each roster. In the event of two or more identical rosters, the players will be contacted and a playoff contest will be scheduled for the following week, as long as that day meets the ‘Contest Scheduling’ criteria. For example, if there is an identical lineup tie in the qualifier to the KotH head-to-head contest, those teams will play in a playoff contest the following week. The winner of that weeks’ contest will advance as ‘The Contender’ in the KotH head-to-head contest the week after that. In the instance that two or more teams tie in the tiebreaker, the same tiebreaker rules apply.
If there is a tie in the ‘King vs Contender’ KotH head-to-head contest, there will be a rematch between the teams that tied, regardless of how the teams tied; standard tiebreaker rules will not apply. For example, if there is a tie in the KotH head-to-head contest, those teams will play in a rematch head-to-head contest the following week. The winner of that contest will advance as ‘The King’ in the KotH head-to-head contest the week after that.
EFFECT OF TIE-BREAKERS ON CONTEST SCHEDULING
In the event of an identical lineup tie in a qualifier to the KotH head-to-head contest, the playoff will be held the following week. There would be no KotH head-to-head contest that following week as a result. If a qualifier to the next KotH head-to-head contest was already scheduled, it will still run, but the winner of that qualifier will play in the KotH head-to-head contest the week after the tie-breaker contest.
In the event of a tie in the KotH head-to-head contest, the rematch will be held the following week. The winner of the qualifier contest during the same week as the head-to-head tie, will play the winner of the head-to-head tiebreaker the week after.
EFFECT OF CONTEST RULES ON TERMS OF USE
The Terms of Use on the DraftKings Website shall apply to all KotH related contests and to these Contest Rules, and are hereby incorporated herein by reference. These Contest Rules are intended to be a supplement to the Terms of Use, and should not be determined to be a substitute or replacement for, or otherwise render inapplicable, the Terms of Use. To the extent any provision of these Contest Rules conflicts with any provision in the Terms of Use, the provision contained in these Contest Rules shall apply, and the provision contained in these Contest Rules shall be deemed to supersede the conflicting provision contained in the Terms of Use unless otherwise stated herein. In no way other than a provision of these Contest Rules that explicitly conflicts with a provision in the Terms of Use shall these Contest rules to be deemed to replace or nullify any provision contained in the Terms of Use.
MISCELLANEOUS
DraftKings reserves the right to alter these rules at any time in DraftKings' sole discretion.
DraftKings reserves the right to discontinue the King of the Hill promotion at any time in DraftKings' sole discretion upon reasonable notice to all players that have accumulated 1 or more KotH wins.
By participating in any KotH related contest, the player agrees to be bound by the terms of these Contest Rules, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
